Be the victim of a proxie war is quite unfortunate, is in it?

...and just how many recruits does Al Queda expect to get after killing over 100 Muslims?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Unfortunately they will probably get plenty of Sunni recruits fresh from Saudi Arabia to fight the infidel Shia. This lunacy makes N. Irelans or the protestant reformation look like a walk in the park. The religion of peace strikes again!

If these 'people' want to create an Islamic world to live together in peace and brotherhood, why can't they have Mars?

"al-Qaida"

What a bunch of sick puppies.

nanda - Nah, Mars is too far - how about we send these "people" to the moon? Pow! Zoom! To the moon!

Plenty more. It shows the power of the movement and underlines that god is on their side.

Please, please, please people.. wake up and realize that Al-Qaida is the CIA.

The world should just come to some kind of agreement with groups like Al Queda. Just give them their own island somewhere and let them do whatever they want as long as it doesn't cross over into the rest of the world. Anyone who wants to go can go.....anyone who doesn't, doesn't. Let them ban women, execute people who listen to music, do whatever they want. Just as long as they don't bother anyone else.

CIA and Al-Qaida have the same master.

Wha - hoh!

Somebody, sound the gong.

A. deep. thinker. is. among. Us.

Sorry to bother you, EigoNoSensei, I realize knowledge like that is, as the hippies used to say, too big to handle, but would you kindly deign to tell who is the individual or group you just know is master of both Al Qaeda and the CIA ?

Please, please don't tell me it is only your private students who get to find out...

I’m going to say that more people should be outraged that innocent people are being targeted by terrorists. More people should be looking for ways to prevent the deaths of innocent people in Iraq.

On the other hand, it would be equally crazy to think the CIA would never be involved with something like this. Such events benefit a number of people. Al-Quaida takes the blame and claims success and gains more members and power. The Iraqi people live in fear and their government rethinks its desire to see U.S. troops leave. Everyday U.S. troops are in Iraq is a day several U.S. corporations make a lot of money and probably the CIA too.

Its very plausible, but also very hard to prove.

So would anyone like to tell me where the misinformation Bush used to start this war came from?

I’m going to say that more people should be outraged that innocent people are being targeted by terrorists. More people should be looking for ways to prevent the deaths of innocent people in Iraq" Well, you can start that by banning religion, and most notably Islam.

The world should just come to some kind of agreement with groups like Al Queda. Just give them their own island somewhere" I think we all have established that they want much more than that.

Nostalgic for the "peaceful" days before religion are you? I think you should think a bit harder about what you are asking for. Religion is not the perfect solution, but the great monotheisms have fostered more peace than war I think.

Preventing deaths in Iraq is going to be tough because its like putting a genie back in the bottle. I would rather prevent future wars such as this by jailing the leaders that started it as a warning to future idiots...I mean "leaders".

The point about islam is that it is a political ideology more than a personal "religion". That is why the West is tragically fooling itself by trying to create those modern democracies in places like Iraq, while at the same time allowing the islamic parties to write Shariah into their constitution. That is insanity, based on ignorance. And we are seeing the results.

The world should just come to some kind of agreement...

There was. It's called Afghanistan. We went in and smacked the hell out of the Taliban and we should have come home after we did our damage. But oh no, we're going to make them a democracy. We're going to make them vote. We're going to make them give women the vote and equal rights.

You see where this has gone. < :-)

Quote: The militant group known as the Islamic State of Iraq said in a statement posted on the Internet late Monday that its “martyrs ... targeted the dens of infidelity.”

Stupid name. Iraq already is nice and Islamic, thank you.

Oh, and whatever you guys do, try and add a little more fidelity to your pronouncements. Mass random killing is the work if infidels.

adaydream: There was. It's called Afghanistan.

I was talking about including an agreement that they don't step outside of their borders....that would include terrorist attacks in foreign countries.

The rest of your post is worth ignoring.

It is impossible to agree or disagree about the statement, because the premise is bizarre. It is impossible to compare "the great monotheism" by lumping them all together. One of those was founded by a celibate, pacifist hippie, and another by a slave-taking, harem-keeping warlord. One of them declares the sanctity of life, and another one makes holy war on non-members a passport to paradise.

It makes as much sense to generalize about them as to generalize about "democracy" and "nazism" because they are both "political systems".

What is bizarre sir is your insistence on comparing them. I was not comparing them. I was comparing the world before the great monotheisms and after. Before the great monotheisms is anyone going to say there was rampant peace?

And something you seem to forget is that the war in Iraq was touched off by non-Muslims, mostly from "the other" religion of peace but not "officially" for religious reasons. And the official story is it was a mistake. Either way, Islam is not to blame. But I expect you will contort and twist some more to shift blame anyway.

The war in Iraq was touched off by Saddam Hussein invading Kuwait, suppressing the Shiites in the marshes, breaking the sanctions and constantly goading the West. He miscalculated and went too far, thinking he could get away with anything. An American President and his advisors put x and y together time and again, and finally could not stand by any longer.

Not an enviable task, having to stand between two sects of Islam, with hyenas circling round.

Before the great monotheisms is anyone going to say there was rampant peace?" Excuse me, but China seems to have done a good job at keeping peace before they let religion back in!!!!
