Another day in beautiful Korea, another protest. I once was stuck on a bridge there for hours in a farmers protest. When the protest handed, my friend's car battery went dead and the Korean JAF had to come. For them to come, the friendly cops whom I took pictures of them taking pictures of themselves in riot attire had to close the opposite lane. This again took another hour. They sure have a lot of patience in that country and it hurts me that so many got hurt in today's clashes.

Another milestone in the American neo-empire. Or is this actually somehow going to be good for Korea and the protesters, the MP who set off the tear gas canister in Parliament, and the people who were denied the right to block the legislation by the railroading actually not realize it is in fact, very good for Korea?

Trade so far with America has been good for South Korea, so what would make this any different?
Hey, if they don't want any part of America, then don't trade with America.

South Korea runs a TRADE SURPLUS with the United States. The FTA will only increase the surplus.
Another FTA was passed this year with the European Union, yet there was virtually zero opposition to it. I wonder why the US FTA gets so much more attention?...

Because most South Koreans are anti American. All they see is something benefiting American corps which will hurt working Americans but they want nothing to benefit America. Really another riot is Seoul is not really news.

I am not too sure why Yuri Otani says South Koreans are so anti American, I have been to Korea, had a great time, it is like one big Okinawa, US soldiers every where, but then again, Korean soldiers every where too, they always asked me if I was an American GI, sure!! Then would great discounts on anything! So I have to disagree about SOUTH Korea being so Anti American, now cross over to NORTH Korea, controlled by CHINA, that is whole different ball game. I think this new economic deal, FTA will hurt at first, but just like the FTAs between Canada, the USA and Mexico it has made good companies better, crappy companies also had to improve or move out of the way and this will be the same between the USA and South Korea.
