    Lost in translation, post-9/11 scenario.

Some stuff you could get away with in China.

The stupid security staff should be arrested and Wang given an award.

The bystander who alerted the breach should be given the award. Most people probably would've just let it go.

Well at least they got him, I'm pretty sure it was all caught on security cameras to confirm his identity. While the consequences may seem weak, it still gives the point across that one shouldn't break laws just because they feel they can get away with it. Nice hit on the pocket book. Guess they need signs posted on those security checkpoint lines in multiple languages. "Anyone bypassing the security checkpoint without authorization will be shot on sight." Would be enough to make people $#!+ bricks and remember why laws exist.

Quit simply put its like he jumped the fence to get past the airport check. He should have known better and used common sense. Kind of like trying to sneak onto an army base without talking to the sentry to verify admission.

authorities found Jiang with “sheer, hard police work” of sifting through records and following leads

I imagine it was his girlfriend who was identified first, and then him through her. She had the airline ticket.
