Isn't Turkey becoming less of a democracy? So it makes sense

So Russia benefited from the coup? Well we all know what that means to the conspiracy crowd.

Case closed.

On the other hand, as Chaim Bermont used to say... Any of you heard of Gladio? CIA/NATO terrorist brigades, originally set up in Europe to be a 'stay-behind' army if the Russians invaded Europe after WWII, it was used instead as a 'strategy of tension', commiting vile atrocities (like the Bologna train station bombing, and the Brabant massacres, as well as the Greek 'Colonel's Coup' and the four previous Turkish coups, all extremely bloody and brutal. The European terrorist atrocities were blamed on the 'Reds' (the Muslims now get the blame for 'terrorist attacks' and hoaxes. Wakey, wakey. 'Please Mind The Gap' between what the MSM tells you, and the truth.

For those who don't know, the two F-16 pilots involved in the shooting down of the Russian bomber have been arrested and imprisoned.

They were arrested pending the court case - but not for what ya guys think:

Two Turkish pilots who downed a Russian fighter jet in November 2015 on the Syrian border have been arrested and officials are looking into whether they have links to the Gülen movement, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said during an interview with Al-Jazeera late on July 20.

Underlining that the Russian Su-24 had been warned multiple times for violating Turkish airspace, Erdoğan said the authorities do not know whether the pilots’ decision to down the jet was influenced by their links to Fethullah Gülen, a U.S.-based Islamic scholar said to be behind the failed military coup attempt on July 15.

“We still do not know whether this incident and the links of these people [the pilots] have anything to do with [the downing of the Russian jet]. But these pilots may have links to Pennsylvania,” the president said, referring to the northeastern U.S. state where Gülen has been living since 1999.

“[The pilots] have been detained and the courts will unravel the truth,” Erdoğan told Al-Jazeera.

So Erdogan still insists that the Russian jet was warned multiple times for violating Turkish airspace. But Erdogan is going after potential links to Gulen.

The situation in Turkey is insane. Stalin era Soviet Union comes to mind.

“[The pilots] have been detained and the courts will unravel the truth,” Erdoğan told Al-Jazeera.

I don't get it?

Are you insinuating that perhaps the pilots fired on Gulan's orders?

Erdogan had them arrested because he believes they have connections to Gulen.

Notice that Erdogan did not have them arrested until the coup happened.

Their arrest was not due to the Russian incident.
