What do you expect the Syrian government to do against this insurgency? Should they just sit back and allow the armed militias to run rampant around towns with AK47s in their hands?

The US "pounded" fallujah didn't it? But I don't recall the "international community" saying anything about that.

The way Waco and Ruby Ridge were dealt with, Syria is just dealing with them in the same way.

It's a bit strange to see messages supporting Syria....but whatever floats your boat.

Fixed that for you. I don't see anyone supporting "Syria" above.

It's a bit strange to see messages condoning Assad.... but whatever floats your boat.

It's equally strange to see messages supporting the condoning messages.

In Washington, President Barack Obama said the U.S. and its allies would consider “every tool available” to stop the slaughter of innocent people in Syria. He did not give specifics about what that might entail.

Unlike Libya, it entails President Obama standing around and watching The Syrian government under the rule of Assad killing tens of thousands of Syrian citizens. I think Libya has more oil than Syria.
