At least 11 dead in blasts, shootings in China's Xinjiang

Ten suspected bombers and a security guard were killed Sunday in a series of bomb attacks and shootings in the mainly Muslim region of Xinjiang in northwest China, state-run media reported. The official Xinhua News Agency, quoting police sources, said the security guard was killed when bombers carrying explosives drove a vehicle into the yard of a police station in the town of Kuqa at around 2:30 a.m. Police shot one of the bombers dead while one killed himself and another was captured, the report said.

At 8:20 a.m., police found five other bombing suspects hiding, Xinhua said. They threw explosives at police, who shot two of them dead. The other three blew themselves up. Police say there were 12 separate bombings overnight in Kuqa County, in which the attackers targeted official facilities with devices made of pipes, gas canisters and liquid gas tanks. One bomber captured at the police station reportedly told police that a total of 15 people were involved in the attacks. The regional government blamed a Muslim separatist group in Xinjiang for killing 16 paramilitary police officers in an attack in the city of Kashgar last week.

These are meaninless struggles. Xinjiang is alraedu Chinarized. There was no east turkistan..it was a regieme lasted only three months in 1944. The Chinese government has done much faster to pouring in settlers Chinese in Xinjiang much faster than ever. Sometimes this struggles like the Palestinians protesting against israeli settling in west bank but they were no match under a strong national machine! They are doomed....
