Assuming you are an "elderly pensioner, low to middle income family or first-time home buyer" then you will receive money from your government. Of course, other Australians overpaid to create that government surplus but won't receive any rebate. None dare call it "redistribution of wealth".

Recently, when the U.S. government sent rebate checks as a stimulus I didn't receive one red cent despite the fact that I pay much more in taxes than those who did get rebates. In fact, there were U.S. citizens who received more back as a so-called rebate than they had paid in taxes in the first place.

All this surplus is available in this time of need, all thanks to the previous John Howard /Peter Costello government.

$10 billion vs $700 billion vs $2.3 trillion. This is hardly news!
