Prime Minister Tony Abbott has warned that the terrorism threat in Australia has escalated with one-third of all terrorism-related arrests since 2001 occurring in the last six months. At least 110 Australians have gone to Iraq and Syria to fight alongside extremists, and the nation’s security agency is juggling more than 400 high-priority counterterrorism investigations — more than double the number a year ago.

Insanity. Hopefully the US is doing everything we can to help.

Seems like hysteria to me. Which in the end is what terrorists want either way, planned attack or actual attack gets people rattled, politicians elected and secret services budgets increased.

The media plays all too willing a role in giving terrorist groups what they want. In this case a bunch of kids armed with "edged weapons". Seriously?

We've just concluded here in the U.S. a case with a conviction of two brother with pressure cookers. Box cutters killed nearly 3000 in 2001. I would never take lightly anyone wanting to push the Islam extremist agenda.
