Man, that is a story to tug at the heart strings. Glad to see they were able to recover from that devastating loss.

I can't even begin to imagine the terrible pain and suffering this couple felt. To lose one child is unthinkable, but all 3?? and with one of the grandparents nonetheless. My heart goes out to them.

congratulations on a new healthy girl. May she wipe your tears and grief away.

I hope that they don't over compensate and protect her too much, which would be a sad thing, but either way I hope the new baby brings them some joy and happiness.

Honestly, i wouldnt blame them even if they do. I'm a father of one, about to be two.. I cannot even imagine the hell this couple went through. They deserve this baby and I am so happy for them. However they want to love this baby, they should. No regrets.

Strange how some news stories never leave your mind. I remember when I first heard about the three Maslin kids on that flight who were flying home with their grandfather. Maybe it was the picture of them in the news or maybe it was their interesting names, I don't know, but for some reason I still think about them when any news about MH17 appears. Here is the photo I remember:

Anyway, great that the parents have had a new baby and hopefully they can continue to rebuild their new life together.
