Hicks’ father, Terry Hicks, said the conditions imposed on his son by the court order had made his son’s life difficult.

They said Hicks converted to Islam and sought adventure as a fighter in Kosovo and Kashmir after the Australian army rejected him because of a lack of education.

I think the kid did a good job of making his own life difficult....

You know when I start to feel a little blue I often thinking about converting to Islam and joining fights in Kosovo, Kashmir, and Afghanistan. I'm sure we all do from time to time.

SmithinJapan seems to have hit the nail right on the head! This Ozzy bloke sick of Christianity and wanting to join forces with Osamabinladin may have had a better chance working for Blackwater etc..and become a great spy for the Muslim terrorists, nobody would ever suspect a white dude from down under wanting to wage jihad against the West right?

I think what smith's trying to say is, "I'd rather not talk about it."

Great - released just in time for the christian holidays! Wonder if he is still interested in a little more adventure in his life?
