I've been hearing about this a lot on television and radio. I really sympathize with the school, it's a real damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. Let's face it, these days if there's any possibility of physical injury to a child, schools are ripe for litigation.

Dang, those evil cartwheelers are at it again! We had to hire snipers to stop them in our town.

aha, so it's not just something that happens in Japan. Welcome to the world of the blame game... make sure nobody does anything anywhere so nobody gets sued.

What a boring world we are creating for kids. No adventure, no fun, no growth. Except for the butts and tummies.

What is needed is tort reform. I could see if a school had the children playing with broken bottles and loaded hand guns. Then sue them. But just because kids will be kids and maybe get hurt, it is not their fault. If this keeps up, the only safe solution will be to home school via the internet. And then, they will sue the online school for causing their kids to develop carpal tunnel syndrome from extended computer usage.

Blimmin fun police. I have coached gymnastics for 10 years and you would be amazed, about 90% of kids aged 5-8 have no idea how to do a cartwheel or a handstand. No wonder children are turning into fatties...

Now that is something to be worried about, kids not knowing how to do kid stuff...maybe they are waiting for a stunt double to come in and do it for them?
