'The 16-year-old girl is not somebody who is well-known to us, however it is disturbing that we are continuing to see a trend of teenage children involved in activities'

It is sad to see how adults using tribal ideology are trapping those with physically undeveloped minds. Setting in place a lifetime of effect just to further an unevolved, uneducated ideological position within their group.

From this perspective, I see this as a community issue, where the education of young people needs to be extensive before the teenage to adult period begins.

A highly volatile period where the brain goes through a synapse reconfiguring and development stage from 13-25 years old. So many are confused, overwhelmed by strong emotions, illogical thinking and obsessive desires. To make it even more difficult, there is the excessive energy created by their emerging sexuality during this time. It's a very confusing stage of development and potentially dangerous to family and friends. Let alone the wider community as we read here.

All supporters of terrorism, and terrorists should be most severely punished, as terrorism killed and destroyed so many people and families. The message needs to be strong to prevent further growth of terrorism.

Lock 'em up for 25 years as a lesson perhaps to others. Australia seems to be one of the only countries to take a hard line on unwanted illegal immigration and terrorist supporters. Given other news today it seems that they are vindicated.

Lock 'em up for 25 years

Great idea. No wait. We tried that in the US. It doesn't work.

The pair were to face one charge each of getting funds to, from or for a terrorist organisation. The maximum penalty on conviction is 25 years in prison.

25 years seems about right. Maybe these two will finally know what terrorism, and terrorist, are actually about by the time they're eligible for parole?

"trend of teenage children"

....gee it is a trend of teenage children, or just a trend of children who have been iindoctrinated by particular belief system?

Strangely, the article writer does not say, so we are left to assume that this is a random phenomenon across all population groups.

Or is it really?
