Now, did they kill the woman to get the baby, or did they kill her by chance and took the baby? Both are horrific, but to kill the woman for the specific purpose (premeditated) is slightly harder to swallow than the idea that MAYBE there was another reason and in the end they realized there was a baby in the woman and took it out after the fact. Again, both are sick and unforgivable acts.
I didn't realize this has happened before (recently). I knew from reading that these were the people who committed the recent murder (caught), but still. Sick sick sick.

I recall reading a book by a leading detective in the US and he said think of the most horrific crime you can imagine and someone has done it.
This storey proves his case.

Smith,
Typically these cases involve some very messed up individuals with in whom the maternal instinct has gone terribly awry. There is no doubt that she was killed so that the baby could be extracted; this is not the first time.

Sounds like a bad movie -- Womb Raider.
Some people will do absolutely anything to get a baby -- including this kind of act. It may have been that the woman was infertile and didn't have the money for fertility treatments or other ways of having a child. I want to hear more about the motive for such an inhumane act.

It was not her friends that were suspicious, it was the staff at the shelter she was living at.

Figured as much. Just kind of hoping it's slightly different. I guess you can never underestimate the grade of scum humanity can at times achieve.

I can't understand how people can become so warped that they commit such acts. This is just beyond comprehension. This is the type of sicko (or sickos, in this case) that have to stay locked up for the rest of their lives.

Hopefully their executions will come quickly.

There are some sick, sick people in this world. Lock them up and throw away the key!
Bento at 09:52 PM JST - 30th July
yep sick! sick enough to do the act, and others sick enough to try and make a joke out of it..what do you think ilcub76(ill has two l's in it) Hopefully (time and careful investigation) will reveal this was an accidental death, hastily mislabeled as murder, and the woman 'rescued' the baby..if the alternative is true well its hard to comprehend.Especially as it happened in a country where perversions are,if idle gossip is to be believed, "far less" common.

Bento obviously doesn't know that il stands for Illinois (the postal code is IL).

Horrible! Nice to learn everybody is condemning the alleged perpetrator(s) and not the whole country. But then again this didn't happen in Japan, therefore let's single out the individual and not the nation. Well done folks, that's the way it should be!
HonestDictator at 02:30 AM JST - 31st July
Sick people, and yeah this isn't the only time this happened. Talk about really warped maternal instincts.
Badsey at 06:00 AM JST - 31st July
They need to ban these type of "abortions" or at least they should not be covered under Obama's health plan.
