I know this sounds gruesome but for the mafia, this is just part of their way to welcome Mr. Felipe Calderon to Tijuana, to kind of let him know who is actually running Tijuana, and it is not the Mexican federal government.

The druglords way of showing irony is rather shameful... and for Mr CALDERON an embarassing coincidence.

WHILST THE BLACKMARKET IN THE WEST, fueled by drug money, have been muted.... it's a shame that this whole sordid affairs have been all promises and no actions. And poor Mexicans have to contend that Hollywood celebrities and western bloggers would much prefer to ponder over Tibet and Dafur... and none for their sufferings. For the west have made use-of illicit-drugs almost trivial and non-consequential.

And for the secular west, who cares?!

Drug cartels = Terrorists. If the federal government of Mexico is unable or unwilling to take control of their drug lords/cartels, then Mexico will need to be added to the list of state sponsored terrorists. This stuff is spilling over into the U.S. Look at what happened to the man of the couple jet skiing in that lake in Texas. Sad stuff. Build a very tall wall bordering Mexico and the U.S.

Tom, you are buying into the typical Fox, right wing political propaganda that only sees the EFFECTS, all of these narco terrorists mafias are just the EFFECTS of a very, very deeply rooted CAUSE, that that is that so many AMERICANS get high, every day on what? Mexican marijuana, heroine, crystal meth, and maybe popular in the Beverly Hills Playboy Mansion, COCAINE from Mexico via Colombia, Bolivia, Peru etc... Let me see, GUN SALES ARE COMPLETE ILLEGAL IN MEXICO, how is it that MEXICO is awash in AMERICAN guns, rifles, night vision glasses, hand grenades etc...? The LEGAL guns in the USA are being sent across the Mexican border, and MEXICO SHOULD BE PUTTING UP A FENCE to keep out all the terrible guns, bombs etc...mostly MADE IN THE USA, but I do have to say CHINA is up there to with LEGAL SALES of AK 47s to the USA that go by the TRUCK LOAD into MEXICO, where the police and Mexican border patrol our already OUT GUNNED and OUT MANNED by these mafias, so for all of you who want to keep on getting high, just remember that your drugs all have blood on them, that your US dollars are going to FINANCE all of these satanic, crazy Mexican mafias. By the way, Tijuana is still way safer than Ciudad Juarez, Reynosa etc...and thanks JrAustralia, sorry about all this cocaine going to Oz lately, but this is also back to SUPPLY for a DEMAND. PS Too right about too many western bloggers who care more about Darfur , Tibet and the spotted owl, while right across the border from the USA people are getting killed night and day.

Canadian growers generate Billions of dollars in Marijuana sells to America every year and how many beheadings and mass murders are committed? Yes, Americans do buy the drugs and yes American weapons are sold to Mexico but it is also apparent that there is something significantly wrong with a countries culture when it starts to turn a blind eye to the rise of narco-terrorist. Narco-terrorist have been able to grow and thrive because apathetic Mexican citizens did nothing to prevent it.

Just confirmation that both the US and Mexico should be cooperating in building a barrier to control the out of control boarder between the two countries. There is no way to control the drug and human smuggling related crime without control of the boarder. Political correctness and left wing politics kills!

Well, to be exact, the problem is just 30mins drive from my place (I believe I mentioned the incident in previous posts but somehow not on this thread), anyways the cops netted multi-million dollars worth of coccaine from Mexico. I agree that Supply and Demand is an issue, but it shouldn't be the sole Issue otherwise this argument will only be turned into an excuse, and a good alibi for narco-crims to flood suburban streets of Australia willy-nilly.

I'm not sure how badly affected are you folks in Japan, but I have a strong feeling you too will soon have to deal with floods of coccaines from Mexico.

I agree-- the AMERICAN BORDERS must be controlled. But I'm afraid that that would only give both governments enough leeway and time. And I am in the opinion that there's something more sinister in Mexico's drug wars :(

It's unfortunate also that the fabled Manila- Acapulco trade route have been resurrected in our times not by trading ships but by drugs... And I certainly agree that Political Correctness and Left-wing Indecisiveness is the baleful answer when it comes to solving this internationalized mess :(
