I don't have any pity for the church there. They have known about this abuse for decades, and done NOTHING. It is inexcusable.
However, I also realize that no one is perfect, and churches, when it comes down to it, are made up of flawed individuals. They need to put in place a system of zero tolerance for this kind of behavior. Once thats done, I don't see any reason to keep punishing them for past mistakes. The people who committed the crimes, and any future crimes. Yes, throw the book at em. No Mercy, but the church itself, no.

The best way to deal with all these pedofile priests all over the world is to have interpol pick them up and put them into the general population of a jail in the USA.

I can't understand this kind of thing at all... and it's inexcusable that they knew about it and did nothing for so long. Now they're asking for patience? What kind of punishment are they going to dole out, exactly? Will it be an in-house investigation and punishment? Why aren't they being locked up IMMEDIATELY?

I agree with all of your comments on the issue. I just wish you could step back, reread your comments, and apply them to... ahem... certain other religions and their maniacal and flawed individuals as well.

I'd reply, but this would be wholly off topic here. So I'll simply say, I do apply these feelings elsewhere, I take that into consideration.

The Catholic Church never ceases to disappoint me. And the victims have been ignored for decades. < :-)

this particular religion needs to go the way of the dinosaurs. Can't believe me mom is all into this. Had what happened to these kids happen to mine, I sure as hell wouldn't give them a second of patience; they have been given ample time.

The church has been having this problem for centuries. Now we have laws in most "civilised" countries to protect children from abuse and the church still hasn't adapted???? Like hell if we're willing to give them time on something they should have dealt with an eternity ago. Yes it p's me off that they trying to ask for tolerance for their slow actions. Its up to God to forgive them, not me.
