Bye-bye bellicose billionaire !
CrazyJoe
Would be hilarious if after all this huffing and puffing Trump is bested by a doctor who appears to be self medicating with Proz**.
Jimizo
A loudmouth businessman/TV celeb is overtaken by an evolution-denying doctor.
The mad world of the GOP.
TrevorPeace
They're starting to wake up. Think what you will of Americans (I'm not one, just Canadian) but sometimes they take awhile to see though the sh*t of tabloid medicine and take a good dose of reality. Can't imagine that bellicose a** as a president of what they still like to call the most powerful nation on earth. Another myth, but that's for a different argument.
Kurobune
Seriously for a minute, guys. The GOP must really be in bad shape. No joke. The last two POTUS elections they have offered up McCain and Rmoney, and they are surely going to go down for the third time with either The Hair or the Doc ! (No tot mention "I can see Russia from my house." Palin.
Laguna
Well, there was a period during the '12 primaries that Bachmann and that pizza guy Cain were fighting for the lead, but the GOP managed to snap out of it and nominate Romney. We'll see if they're able to avoid suicide at the last minute again.
PTownsend
And now Trumpery's brand rivals Coca Cola, Apple and Facebook for name familiarity. Talk about a brilliant marketing ploy.
MarkG
I can't believe the racism I read here in comments. Carson is a good man. Not much in negatives can be said so far...the bias media is digging and hard.
kcjapan
Carson's wildest claims disqualify him for the office:
Rump the Great's wildest claims?
Was it the murderers and rapists line or that Americans are 'Losers'? There really are just too many to choose from.
Either choice saddles the Office with religious idolatry or repugnant arrogance. Both traits are a bad image for a country that's trying to climb out of the cesspool of AWOL Bush's disasters.
Good for Americans? Neither. Now that the GOP Shia Tea has their blood up, they'll sweep all reason aside and end up looking exactly as they did after their Benghazi disaster.
If the GOP Shia Tea implodes any further they'll come out the other side of their reality.
Black Sabbath
Carson is a 7th Day Adventist. He won't be up there for long.
Moreover, the Republican party must be destroyed.

Jimizo:
The loudmouth businessmen is actually stating some un-PC truths that the political establishment denies. I vastly prefer that to the political insider woman who denies her role in Bengazi.
I agree about the doctor... he´d be mincemeat in any real debate, and I am sure democrat political establishment is cheering him on for that reason.
MarkG
More racists....astounding!
kcjapan
Isn't this happening from the inside out?
GOP-Shia are the worst offenders. So, a specific excise of that 'obstruction for obstructions' sake crowd gots to go. But, these types of religious zealots have obstructions as their only goal. So, that's a hard group to eliminate.
Maybe their Freedom Caucus will become so offensive to ordinary GOPs there will have to be a split party.
The main stream is pitching a Romney-Lite and the Village Burners are pitching two bizarro world freaks.
If the GOP is self-destructing, again, it is becoming a tantrum that's too expensive, too destructive and wholly unnecessary to the Democratic process. But, hey, everyone needs a hero.
GalapagosnoGairaishu
If Carson gets the nomination, maybe he'll bring in a urologist as his running mate. (Hope somebody catches the humor in that remark.)
Black Sabbath
Unfortunately, no. The mechanics of our Federal system and various laws means they can cling to power on the state and federal level for some time.
Ours is not a democracy. It is a federal republic.
Moreover, the Republican party must be destroyed.

So, disagreeing with Carson = Racism? Just because he's black? So what does disagreeing with Trump equal? Hairism?
From the BBC: <>http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-34650481
"The retired doctor has said President Barack Obama's healthcare reform was "the worst thing" since slavery and that the US government is acting like Nazi Germany. He asserted that being gay is a choice, Muslims aren't qualified to seek the US presidency, the Holocaust could have been prevented if persecuted Europeans owned more guns and - just a few days ago - that the US government should cut off funding to universities that are found to exhibit "extreme political bias."
If that is an example of a Good Man, then we're all doomed. Doomed I tells ya!
kcjapan
Carson? Don't forget your hat Sir.
Too extreem, too wrong, too often.
MarkG
I truly think the USA would be in better shape fiscally less divided and globally respected if Romney was president. We have no way to prove that of course but the last 3 years were not good.
Oh and FYI....the Palin comment was a Saturday Night Live comedy skit. You guessed it the bias media used it against her. Imagin that! Misinformation.
shonanbb
Trump makes me smile and laugh, but this pro lifer scares me.
pointofview
It`s one poll. Overall not a fan of the GOP or Dems but I do like Trump, Carson and Sanders.
MarkG
Carson's religion should be no consequence. He made no statement to impose his religion on anyone. If Obama were a Muslim, I could care less. His actions are not Islamic direction. Obama is a Christian and he doesn't impose it on anyone.
Carson is intelligent, honorable and full of integrity. He's not lying when questioned, he's not evasive, and he's not insulting anyone. I'd say that's commendable. His gifted hands served him well, just maybe he has a gifted mind and....
nath
Maybe he hasn't, but he's shown a serious lack of ability to think critically and logically. He believes the world is only 6000 years old. Someone who lacks the intelligence to see through that fallacy has no place being in control of the most powerful country in the world.
Texas A&M Aggie
The DNC has become the party of old white people. Republicans have the kind of diversity democrats can no longer claim to have. Dr. Carson is a black man who didn't need the democracts' handouts and achieved success on his own. Racist democrats and their cheerleaders hate that.
bass4funk
But to elect a habitual liar or a lunatic socialist, that's a better option? And you think the GOP is mad, then that would make the DNC hopeless.
Obama is an Atheist and that's good?
No, both parties should be destroyed, but I would through the DNC a little more C4 just to be on the safe side.
Ask Hillary.
But now we are sinking in the cesspool of Obama's failed foreign policy, not to mention, the man is being bitched slapped by Putin and soon the Chinese, how can the country take and tolerate this kind of excutive abuse from this Tyrant?
What you are trying to say for those that don't have a dictionary, if the Dems don't resort to more dirty tricks and deceptions, it'll be virtually impossible to retain the White House. Keep trying, honesty and integrity are traits that liberals are devoid of.
As if the Dems are a cohesive bunch. roflmao
So you agree, both parties should be gone.
Haven't seen that in the last 7 years. What's that, again?
As I said, we need to eliminate both parties, but the DNC should be the first to swim in the Indian Ocean.
Oh, please, if the GOP were as corrupt as the DNC and I mean to the exact same level, Dems would screech like a Banshee. You guys just love to live in a fabricated world of hypocrisy.
nath
I'll sum up Bass' post: I know you are, but what am I?
MarkG
Is that the best you got Stranger? Not very mature is it. I said that in grade school.
Liberalism is self destructive. It's unsustainable and will implode. Conservatism is common sense. Liberal media publishes the progressive fodder and a surprisingly high number of sheep consume it.
Bernie Sanders is supposed to inform the nation his budget plans for the nation this week. I am on edge to see it. Ill bet it's a shangri la and utopian dream.
On the opposite side of the coin New York State is offering tax breaks to entice business growth within. Why would a liberal state promote such a plan?

Not to belittle the doctor's success, but it should be remembered that he was raised by a single mother in public housing and was fed with food stamps, supported with welfare was-dependent-on-government, and kept healthy with medicaid. He was educated in public schools, got eyeglasses from a state agency, and benefited from affirmative action to enter college. He used federal loans and Pell grants in undergrad school and again benefited from affirmative action to enter medical school, which he paid for with a grant from USPHS. He also made full use of fetal tissue donated by Planned Parenthood for much of his research.
So, aside from that, yeah, he didn't need any handouts at all.
nath
Laguna - haven't you learned? Facts are not able to penetrate the bubble.
WilliB
Laguna:
I think the point is that before this vast system of state dependency was established, the state-dependent underclass with absent fathers and single mothers making babies as a means of lifely hood did not really exist. Read up on on black communities before the the whole new society -- surprise, surprise, there were actually families with fathers. Maybe, just maybe, that is the point he is making? But thinking further than simplistic talking points does not penetrate the bubble...
nath
No, the point being made was this:
Which is drastically different from the point you shifted the goalposts to.
Although to be fair, the original quote may have been accurate if it wasn't the democrats' handouts that he received, but rather Republican handouts.

WilliB, perhaps However, regarding legality of abortion for rape or incest victims, he had this to say: “Rape or incest, I would not be for killing a baby because the baby came about in that way. And all you have to do is go and look up the many stories of people who have led very useful lives who are the result of rape or incest.”
Put the two views together and you have the state forcing women to bear unwanted children and then abandoning them to their own means. If that is not monstrous, I don't know what is.

Or we liberals live in a hyperbolic chamber, filled with visions of partisanship in our heads, where the truth should be ONLY one-sided, since we created the entire universe, devoid of reality or reasoning and it's up to our personal interpretation as to how we feel life should be.
Since when do liberals make sense?
Sounds racist to me.
So when have the Dems been mature?
Pretty much. Seems more like it everyday, now, I'm convinced.
If it's the same remedy that liberals are taking, forget it!!!
So why do liberals and Democrats engage in constant name calling and trolling?
nath
Another I know you are but what am I? post from Bass.
Kansaicoon
Despite Trump and Carson making all the headlines I still expect other candidates to gain ground on them because I don't think those two are president material.
Jimizo
'Or we liberals live in a hyperbolic chamber, filled with visions of partisanship in our heads, where the truth should be ONLY one-sided, since we created the entire universe'
Blasphemy. Carson wouldn't like that one.
MrBum
Hoo boy, the right wingers are getting touchy... How completely out of touch can you be to accuse our side of racism while giving a complete pass to yours?
Carson is a joke. I'm sure he's a decent man and fantastic surgeon, but he has no business in the White House. He usually comes off as more serious and mild-mannered (and like he just woke from hibernation), but he's just as ridiculous as Trump.
His comparisons of abortion to slavery, homosexuality to bestiality, Obamacare to Nazi Germany, and Obama to a psychopath are not only offensive, they reveal his simplistic, almost childish way of thinking. Clearly, his intellect is the focused type and limited only to medical science.
Good luck to you guys! You're gonna need it next year!
sfjp330
MrBum OCT. 28, 2015 - 01:22PM JST Carson is a joke. I'm sure he's a decent man and fantastic surgeon, but he has no business in the White House.
There are quite a few professions where strength with calmness is required. I saw that strength in Dr. Carson long ago and never thought of it as a weakness. I just wondered if impatient Americans would see that as an asset. The ability to make firm split second decisions without running off half cocked is an asset to a President, especially in this day and age. Loud bombastic people get a lot of attention but the presidency is no place for them. I hope Dr. Carson is the candidate. I could rest easy knowing that he is in command. Arrogance is really no virtue.
MrBum
@sfjp330,
Just because Carson is calm, doesn't mean he's not arrogant. There's such thing as quiet arrogance, and his comments show it. Honestly, Trumps bombastic style wouldn't be bad if his thoughts and ideas weren't so offensive and lacking in substance. In the end, ideas, sound reasoning, and actual policies are what matters, and the Republican party is sorely lacking in that department.
Just a few examples, Carson wants to ramp up the (failed) war on drugs, overturn Roe v. Wade, and expand the Dept. of Education, not to improve education but to monitor it for "indoctrination." Some of these things are just bats***, and none of them attempt to address the real problems currently facing the US. Again, it's not his calmness or blackness that I dislike, it's his lack of sensible policies.
FizzBit
Do we know of Carson's plan for health care yet? Anyway, the 6000 year old planet is a deal breaker for me.
Laguna
Still, this is all but an intellectual exercise: Though one of the two might win the GOP nomination depending on the degree of Republican dysfunctionality, neither will ever be elected president.
Raymond Chuang
I think in the end, the Republican candidate will be Ted Cruz. Unlike Trump and Carson, Cruz has quietly built up extensive state organizations for his campaign without the glare of publicity, and by January 2016, Cruz will have a well-organized campaign committee ready to go when primary season starts.
Ben Carson may have the lead now, but Cruz's well-organized campaign network will be the critical difference in the end.

Yeah, but he's not a liberal, so he probably won't lose sleep over it.
But liberals do it all the time, REALLY, all the time!
That didn't stop Obama, nor is it stopping Sanders, Hillary and Trump, what's their excuse??
Let's see, he's not a loud mouth, he's not bombastic and brags, he's not a liar, he's not hiding and trying to obstruct the justice and uproot the political system, so what gives?
But it is truthful.
So what's Obama's or Hillary's excuse??
I just wanted to say the same thing about Hillary

Raymond, respectively, I doubt that. Cruz has more than enough enemies in the Republican Party and is as unlikely as Trump or Carson to prevail in the general election. My guess is Rubio or Kasich (with Bush as a long-shot).
BTW, some candidates while preparing for tomorrow's third GOP debate are less than thrilled by their greenrooms. Take a look here at the opulence of Trump's digs compared with the toilet Paul will have to inhabit. What's yours?
You can keeping thinking they're the same, but reasonably-minded Independents (which you claim to be) won't.
Like I said in another post, he's quiet but just as arrogant and boastful. Just to prove he wasn't always so calm when asked in an interview, he told a story about how he once stabbed a person in his youth. Not only is that a bizarre thing to say, it shows that he's trying to match Trump in his own way. I'd respect him a lot more if he defended his calmness, and denounced Trump's inflammatory, substanceless rhetoric.
All politicians lie to some extent, and Carson's proving to be a natural.
http://www.politifact.com/personalities/ben-carson/
Not in the slightest. And his unwillingness to back down despite the lack of truth is arrogant.
I'm really kind of fascinated by your guys' ability to completely ignore reality. The mental gymnastics required to reconcile your views with facts and truth must be exhausting. I like Sanders better, but even I admit that Clinton is doing phenomenally right now, mostly thanks to the Republicans.
TheRat
BASS,BASS,BASS, you REALLY have to move beyond the junior-high school one-liners. TRY facts, citations from scientists and famous political scientists instead of half-ass hacks, for one.
Now, I am not a fan of Obama, but at least the stock market is WAY UP since the crash that repubs started and would have maintained, but not regulating that market. Who would invest when it is just an insider game? What is so WRONG about Obamacare? It addresses the issue of people with genetic issues or conditions that would prevent them from getting the overpriced insurance that is the norm! My sister has a kidney disease that would have stopped her had she changed jobs and insurance companies. And for 600 dollars a month with a 3,000 dollar deductible, well I will keep my Japanese national health insurance thank you. Hopefully, Bernie Sanders will just expand medicare/medicaid and this problem disappears. Our military and police are WAY out of control--they just misspent money on the F-35 II, so much so that they could have put EVERY SINGLE homeless person in America in a mansion, which cost 600,000 dollars.
And stop BASS, with calling Obama an atheist! It's childish, how many times does the man have to go to church? I would prefer an atheist as I am one and have learned from hard experience that scratch a christian, you will find a devil. Remember the DARK AGES Bass, that was when the church was in total control of education and politics. Not unlike Afghanistan. NOW, Bass, avoid those one-liners will ya. BERNIE for president! Free college for my boys!

My sarcasm Stuart! Simply playin the liberal race card used for years now on this site from the libs defending Obama when ANYONE and everyone opposed his views. I've been labeled racist dozens of times. It's funny to see the roles reversed. Those same libs post even more savagely.
nath
So what you are saying, is that you were pulling the race card, even when it doesn't exist. Got it.
bass4funk
@super
You mean, liberals are capable doing other things than just insulting people? Huh? Well, whadda ya know....
There's good reason for it...
Yeah and the same goes for Hillary as well and oh, and how's she going to change the fact that 60% of independents don't like her or want her and her pant suits occupying the Oval Office......again with good reason.
Actually, they are and yes, I am. Sorry, but you don't know me. But the main difference is, one party wants all your money and is obsessed with being PC and shoving everything down your throat and making you like it whether you want it or not and believe that the best way to show strength when it comes to foreign policy is to give in to complete capitulation.
Then HIllary was born with the gift, I have never seen a politician lie like that and Ido give the woman credit, Obama tries, but he kinda sucks at it, but he gives a good fight.
Give me a break! Obama and Hillary are the absolute epitome of arrogance.
Well, now you can understand how I feel about you libs doing the same thing. Frustrating, ain't it?
I can say the exact same thing to you guys, you are a funny bunch, you want to paint a paisley picture of Hillary on one side of the canvas, but then want to completely ignore the other fact, the dry part and that she is still an unpopular candidate in Colorodo, Iowa and Virginia almost as much as Trump and that she is struggling with independents, we don't need to get into the weeds at how much the Dems are in lock step with giving her a coronation, but that is one side of the story and you guys peddle this crap as if the entire country is in love with her when that's a bold face lie and let's not forget, she is still being investigated by the FBI, not finished, on going and opened to any possibilities. That's what you liberals keep leaving out! Yes, I am dealing with reality.
I have on numerous occasions and you libs dismiss it because it doesn't suit you and fits what you guys deem as acceptable in the liberal paisleysphere.
But investments are still down, people are sitting on their money and the private sector is struggling and the GDP is not even a close 3%
Sure, why should we invest in the economy, right? I mean if it's so sound....
There's really nothing right with it, but we'll leave that for another thread.
I know stories about Obamacare that would make your head spin. Again, for another thread.
Thank God, he'll never be president. I lived for 2 years in Denmark, nice country, but nooooo thank you.
He doesn't, but I don't want that idiot to say, he is for religious freedom and tolerance
See and I feel the exact opposite.
Dark ages? Yeah, Bernie will never step foot in the Oval Office, at least that is one thing that gives me a great sigh of relief.

Typical BS MSM bias. The powerful guardians of the election process has played you for a fool again.

Out of ten, count them, 10 national polls taken over the last two weeks, ALL the other polls report Trump is leading.
The latest poll taken two days ago by Gravis Marketing/One America News puts Trump at 36% to Carson 22%. Quite a difference eh?
Another poll done by Morning Consult last week puts Trump 35% to Carson 20%.

Look at the Clintons....one who wants to give money to the less fortunate and motivated yet, not their bundle!
Too many personal attacks here, be more creative and constructive. Fact is Trump was now Carson is leading. A few more months to go before the boat steady's then we can argue.
The opposition has one potential, not much choice there. Sanders is to extreem. And to compare Denmark to USA is a dream. And remember..."Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country". Words long forgotten.
Jimizo
'Both parties want our money. One party wants to give it back to everyone, the other wants to give it to the top 1%. So we're racist AND obsessed with PC? Mental gymnastics...'
Not gymnastics. It's similar to throwing words like 'socialist' and 'radical' out there without ever stopping to consider what these words actually mean. Fox does this and it's often a case of monkey see. I remember Bill O'Reilly famously called the idea of keeping religion out of the science class 'fascism'. They'll tell you Hillary Clinton is a banker's boot licker who wouldn't urinate on the poor if they were burning and tell you she's a radical socialist I'm the next breath.
When you point this out, you'll often get 'what about your hypocrisy?' in reply.

Does anybody else here think this poll is kind of surprising? Like, I don't like either Trump or Carson, but I feel like this whole reality TV show, that is the presidential election campaign, has been focused on Trump. So I find it odd how Carson could get ahead. And as strange as this may sound, I think a guy like Trump has a "better" chance against his Democrat rival than Carson, because of his explosive and quite hateful messages (Americans love that apparently).

Clearly the Limboid has given the right wingers their talking points about Carson. After years of outright racism directed toward Obama now they get to pretend to be offended by imaginary racism. So shallow, so trite, so republican. No one ia saying that Carson is an idiot because he is black, what is being said is that he is an idiot.
In the end the racist republicans will not vote for Carson anyway. He is simply a cover for them for now to pretend to not be racist themselves, which they all know is what they are. To the core.

I have no idea what you think about Republicans since you never seem to have the guts to write anything that isn't a "what about Obama?" response to what other people are writing. Why not actually sit down and write an opinion on the actual article for a change? You wait for others to give their opinions and write responses, but you never lead.

A very good piece, by the BBC's North America correspondent:
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-34311643
For those that can't be bothered to read it, it talks about the interview Carson gave and his quote regarding Muslims and the Presidency. Then it mentions Article 6 of the Constitution and how no religious test is required for public office. And how 3 million Muslims would feel if they were suddenly "un-American".
The conclusion is quite damning, comparing Carson to an empty vessel when he saw him in the debate, but now realises there IS something, only it's not very pleasant.

When someone makes a comment like that it's usually an indicator the other person doesn't have a logical or rational rebuttal, surprising? Hardly.
No, they are used in the proper context. But I think the left don't understand what the word Capitalist means, it would significantly help them to understand the system that built our great nation.
Because they should let people know that making money and government dependency is the road to poverty and debt.
Because students should be allowed to see multiple perspectives and then make the proper choice that suits them and their lifestyles as it should be.
No one said that, but how has government dependency and in particular this radical president uplifted the black and Hispanic communities?
Because you keep constantly overlooking, purposely your own flaws.
Seeing how Blacks and Latinos have been living and voting for Dems, I would not only call the Democrats and their policies racist, but are also destructive and have been for over 60 years.
You mean, you hope and you will....pray? Whatever it is Atheists do fir good luck.
Actually, a lot are going to vote for him, thank God, they're finally waking up!
Wow, dude! And Dems call themselves, the party of tolerance and compassion? ROFL Too, too hilarious. Almost choked on my coffee reading that!
Just like the left get theirs from my old network, the Obama channel?
Obama doesn't even come close to having that kind of intellect Carson has, compare the 2 resumes, it's abounding how Obama even made it this far in his life.
So wait, first the Republicans are racists towards Obama because he's black and now you say, the Republicans are going to vote for Carson because he's.....a racist? You guys are sure all over the place. I can't stop laughing. This is just too great! Busted again!
Actually, both parties should be destroyed, I'm with you on that.
Just want to remind everyone about the flaws on the left. Why is it for you to accept and listen to it, since I'm not partisan, we can cover both parties faults, gaffes and stupidness. It's a good thing and you should applaud me for keeping checks on that. Fair and balanced, right?
You guys please go first,
nath
Or in other words: I know you are, but what am I?
nishikat
"Actually, both parties should be destroyed, I'm with you on that." Then what?
"Just want to remind everyone about the flaws on the left. " But the right invented ObamaCare and granted millions green card amnesty. Also, Obama kept taxes low and deportations are up record number. And under Obama more rich people were created.
nath
Oh nishikat, what are you doing bringing facts into the conversation? They never penetrate the bubble.
nishikat
And Bill Clinton cut welfare benefits drastically back in '96 and cut capital gains tax. Bush 1st ("read my lips") and Reagan raised lots of taxes. And speaking of "lunatic socialists" Reagan did a lot to advance public transportation, pushed strict gun control in California. Also Bush 1st and Reagan did a lot to push public healthcare forward. And speaking of more "socialist" gun control Nixon wanted to ban handguns outright. Obama kept taxes low and Trump wants to raise them.
Obama is a great president with lower unemployment rate.

'They'll tell you Hillary Clinton is a banker's boot licker who wouldn't urinate on the poor if they were burning and tell you she's a radical socialist I'm the next breath.'
'No one said that'
You did. You agreed Hillary is in the pocket of the bankers and called her a radical socialist. I remembered it well because it was a perfect example of an article I read talking about how polarized and partisan US politics has become with people just throwing insulting-sounding words out there.
'I remember Bill O'Reilly famously called the idea of keeping religion out of the science class 'fascism'.'
'Because students should be allowed to see multiple perspectives and then make the proper choice that suits them and their lifestyles as it should be.'
Let's get this straight, you want creationist myths in a science textbook? Would you like all of them to be taught? I'm guessing you'd advocate the one from Genesis. Keep theology in the theology class and science in the science class. As a proud American, aren't you concerned at the US falling behind many countries in science education?
Oh, can I ask if you agree that keeping religion out of the classroom is 'fascism'? It's just that I was focusing on people throwing around words without thinking about the meaning. A yes or no will do.
nishikat
"'I remember Bill O'Reilly famously called the idea of keeping religion out of the science class 'fascism'.'"
Ok, let's have students worship the devil (as long as they do it safely).
Then they can "see multiple perspectives and then make the proper choice that suits them and their lifestyles as it should be.'"
Next Scientology and the Moonies in the classroom. That would be cool.
But I truly have respect for the Satanists (no joke)

Backed, backed into the corner again. Liberal logic a very illogical thing.
You mean facts that the Dems are racists, habitual liars, love taxes more than life itself or the well being of their fellow neighbors? Open borders, sanctuary cities run out of control, dividing the country using race as an antagonistic issue, despising big business and we really want another decade of this crap? Hell naw! 378 more days until ego maniac Tyrant is out of office and we can all celebrate with the munchkins.
True that. She ain't no conservative and she ain't honest either, so she's definitely for more income redistribution. Like I said, radical socialist.
Whoa, padner!!! And you guys NEVER threw a boulder at a glass house? Come on now....
I never said that. But maybe you could cover both sides one part a science perspective and the other a creationist perspective.
Yes, to be fair and for the students to make up their own minds
I could care less about what other countries do. I'm an American.
I also believe in the opposite to that point.
It's not just a "yes or no" answer.
Jimizo
'It's not just a "yes or no answer"'
You conservatives can never give a clear answer. ROLF! LOL!

To answer the stupidest questions from liberals. You just need to treat liberals like the little kids they are. Give them a time out. If it can work for my kids, should work wonders for the liberals.I
I think what's therapeutic is the fact that liberals have painted themselves in a corner and the only thing they have is....hold on... Anyway.....
nishikat
"And liberals can never ask good questions," Here is a question. How come Obamacare is a Liberal idea when the Conservatives invented it?
SuperLib
Well obviously not if you're just trying to derail the topic at hand which is set by the actual article. Why not make direct comments about it instead of always waiting for others to speak first? I've seen you take the time to write things out and you tend to be a lot less hostile when you do that, you just rarely do it anymore.

Carson and Trump are on the way out. Rubio looks like the best contender the Republicans have got to offer a serious challenge to Clinton and the Democrats in a general election.
Rubio vs. Clinton Yeah, that might be a close race.

Oh american.. A dangerous extreme religious conservative, whose medical achievements sadly cover his lack of knowledge about almost everything else, and a man, perhaps character, so out of touch with reality "I did it all myself with a small loan of a million dollars from my father" looking like he is wearing roadkill on his head and fell asleep in a sunbed... Is this the best you have?
I wouldn't care except for the influence the states has around the world.
Don't get me wrong, I understand the ideals of fiscal and, also to a degree, personal responsibility, however the candidates are nothing more than hyper fake pandering shadows of people in what I hope are the final throws of a political movement that got into bed with the wrong groups and needs to start over. This ridiculous, I like guns more, I like god more, I dislike people who look different more, I dislike women more, I dislike people of different sexual orientations more, I dislike helping anyone with anything ever non-sense they are doing now is pathetic and dangerous.
I hope they are defeated resolutely and the republicans can go back, reset and return to being a balance for spending and to the left (not that I see the american left as particularly left at all.. centre if not even centre right)
bass4funk
No, the topic is, that Carson is pulling ahead from Trump and that he is doing very well especially with Evangelicals and women and that's a good thing He has his faults as they all do, not perfect and then from the left, the snide attacks on the man and his faith and you liberals get over the top nasty about it and then when it's a guy on your side and the situation is flipped then it's the whiny "you don't know what you're talking about" and will never accept your candidates faults and believe me, there is waaaaay more faults to talk about.
I do, you're just focusing on my attacks on you libs and it seems more so because you libs get over the top nasty and you guys can't take it and don't want to hear or deal with your own hypocrisy that you all fail to deal with it, even acknowledge it, I probably would wait more if I could see you guys criticize the flaws on the left and if you guys don't, we'll be here to remind you. Just being fair and balanced and that's a good thing.
We had a peanut farmer as a president an actor and a community organizer, what's wrong with having a businessman or a doctor. Perhaps a doctor is seriously what this country desperately needs to heal all of its woes!
Don't think so! The left is trying to block and make it more difficult to allow law-abiding citizens to purchase firearms, there is nothing wrong to worship or to believe in God, libs hate religion so much, but what about the rights of religious people? Why excoriate them? Their choice, their prerogative. There is NO war on women, but if you insist, how many women are working in the Obama admin. why would the left support a woman that would murder a full-term baby simply because she doesn't want to be a parent and the war on Same sex marriage for MOST conservatives is a complete ruse, yes, you do have some hardcore evangelical Christians or people of religious faiths that do not and never will believe and accept same sex, but the majority, do not care. The danger is coming from the left just trying to take the rights of people that have the absolute right to say what they want whether they like it or not, they don't have the right to shut anyone up.
Wow, dude, just wow!

Every time conservatives disagreed with Obama they were accused of being racist. So now once again a black man is leading in a Republican presidential primary. Not to mention the support for Rubio and Cruz who are Hispanic. This fact must be blowing the minds of Democrats who want so badly to believe their own Orwellian doublespeak about conservative Americans they consider to be the enemy. For these wing-nuts any minority (or women for that matter) that identifies as a conservative or a Republican must be destroyed.
It has been quite instructive to read all of the racist rants here against a world renowned neurosurgeon - and Black conservative - running for president.
Black Sabbath
This is a false predicate.
bass4funk

@Wolf
You got that wrong, the GOP are racists towards Obama because he's Black and the Democrats are racists towards Carson because he's Black, But the GOP doesn't care that he's Black and they don't care that Obama is Black because the GOP cares about Obama's policies which are out of control, but have nothing to do with him being Black, but have everything to do with him being a jerk and the Democrats don't really like Carson because he's a different kind of Black, that kind of Black is counterproductive towards other Blacks that don't think that a conservative should be a Black man, but a liberal man. So basically, Dems want a Black man to be a liberal and a Black man that is a conservative is pretty much an Uncle Tom. That's the Democratic analogy
nishikat
"Open borders, sanctuary cities" But deportations are at record levels under Obama (Democrat) and Reagan inked millions for greencard amnesty. The Republicans are opening the borders, not the Democrats.
"We had a peanut farmer as a president" Carter? He did that to make money. He is a rich man who understands capitalism. But don't forget he was a nuclear officer in a submarine under Rickover. Smart man. Went to Georgia Tech then Naval Academy. You used to be a CEO of a major US fortune 500 corporation. You used to make millions and millions of dollars and flew in the corporate jet. Even if your corporation sold something silly like peanuts it's still capitalism.
bass4funk
That wasn't my point at all, but keep peddling the liberal selective echo chamber.
nishikat
Can you reply to my facts? Facts!!
Who do you want for president now?
Also, I don't understand why Conservatives are obsessed with hispanics since (1) net immigration is reversing and (2) in the future Asian immigrants will outnumber hispanic ones.
Serrano
What about Rubio? Still plenty of time for him to pass The Donald and the doctor.
sf2k
A bag of hammers is also in the running but as noisy as Trump or as quiet as Carson are, they're still not beating the hammers.
zurcronium
Every wealthy plantation owner had its token house worker who was black. That did not the white slave owners less racist. Carson is the same thing for republicans now. He will not win in the south. So this may be one of your right wing taking points as spun by Fox News but it does not undo years of racism in calling Obama a Kenyan. White racist republicans will not vote for Carson, he will get wiped out in the primaries. Besides he seems to be a nut anyway, and he certainly is another republican liar as his denials about promoting herbal drugs to cure cancer has clearly shown recently.
NZ2011
bass4funk.
You don't agree that the faux moral outrage at basically anything is getting in the way of what most republicans were really about, fiscal responsibility, small government and to a degree personal freedom without interference?
Believe whatever you want but religion doesn't belong in government, and yes a man who thinks the world is 6000 yrs old potentially as president is not only dangerous but laughable, it does matter what people believe.
In the same way it effects reproductive rights, civil rights and so on..

Republicans cry about fake racism while in the news four sitting republican senators are exposed as being members of the KKK. The KKK is real and would have in the past lynched someone like Carson.
This is another perfect illustration of what the republicans do, join the KKK, and what the republicans say, oh poor Ben Carson a victim of racism. It is truly pathetic.

Clinton campaign has effectively distributed their talking-points bulletin, I see; that 6000-yrs-old stuff is just about what Strangerland's been posting. Never mind that Obama also goes to church.

I noticed that Ben has been criticized by many because of his boring speeches and his religion. Many of you here hate Ben, but he got 26% and is leading the race. There's something about this man. Sometimes things happen in a mysterious way.
nath
More for his inability to separate religion from reality, than for his religion. Having a religion is in itself not a problem. Lacking the intelligence to separate fact from belief is the problem.
See my comment above. Your statement is a false equivalence.
turbotsat
Not at all.
A. Obama believes in that kind of stuff, in which case by your lights he also should not be fit to be President but you evidently give him a pass because you like him or his team, not his beliefs.
Or B., he's just paying lip service to those beliefs, because if he ever came out as agnostic or atheist he may have felt himself unelectable.
nath
Does he? Please give some quotes from him that shows he believes it.
If he is saying stuff like he believes the world is only 6000 years old, I most definitely will not give him a pass. But I've never heard him say anything like that.
Or C - he goes to church because he thinks it's a good thing to do that has some good rules on how to live life as good person, but doesn't believe in some of the things they preach.
Lots of people in the world fit C.
turbotsat
He goes to United Church of Christ in Chicago and attended Episcopal in DC. 'All that stuff' includes an omniscient God who exists every, sees everything, and created everything, based on no evidence but faith. You're just cherrypicking when it comes to getting down to finding an artificial boundary between faith-based beliefs you'll criticize and those you won't, because you start with your conclusions, Carson = dumb/bad/Republican/conservative, Obama = smart/good/Democrat/liberal, and work backwards.
So Strangerland also has faith in the picture of Obama he wants believe in, based on no evidence whatsoever.
nath
Go back and look at all my comments. I've never criticized Carson for his religion, only for his statements he's made regarding his beliefs. Obama has not made any crazy statements regarding his beliefs that I've ever seen, which is why I don't condemn him.
I know you want to pigeonhole this into a political ideology issue, but if some democratic candidate was making stupid statements like that they thought the world is only 6000 years old, I'd be just as strong in condemning them and pointing out that they are not qualified to run the country as I am in condemning Carson.
It has nothing to do with political ideology, and everything to do with qualifications.
It's not faith, so much as the benefit of the doubt. I know other Republican candidates are religious, but I don't condemn them for their faith, unless they show that their faith impedes their ability to think rationally.
All I know about Obama's religion is that he goes to church. I have no idea how much a part faith plays in his life, because it either doesn't, or he's been really good at separating his faith from his job. I'm ok with a Republican candidate that can do this as well.
turbotsat
It's not crazy to say God waved His hand and created the universe out of thin air or black holes or whatever, without any evidence to support it whatsoever, but it is crazy to say He created it 6000 years ago? Couldn't He have just made it look like He created it 4B years ago, to flush out the weak-livered pseudo-believers? After all, if He made everything He can make it look like whatever he wants it to.
nath
I think it's all crazy myself. But the question is whether the person believes it or not.
Carson has clearly stated he believes it, so there isn't any question there.
Who knows whether Obama believes it or not, but he hasn't said anything in particular to make me think he does.
FizzBit
Dont you all know by now! God has a remote control. He created Earth 4B years ago, he just fast forwarded it 3,999,994,000. years. GHEESH!
