JoeBigs - "American justice system, you remember what that is right?"
LOL! Jokes aside, you make a very good point.
I honestly think the Extreme Right would much rather disregard the storied law system their country has in place to chase down the terrorists and other Very Scary People that their previous president told them to be scared of. :-)
Whether the Extreme Right, as represented by Wolfpack, et el, will ever be willing to respect and uphold **the laws of their own nation **is up for serious debate in my book.
One of the many positive points about President Obama is that - in complete contrast to the previous CinC - the current president is ready to give a damn about the U.S. Constitution.
Unfortunately, that's way more than can be said for the Extreme Right.
Skipthesong - "To me, he is not a plain old Joe, he is a rank and file politician! If things with the war worked any different, he'd be up there hold Dick's hands in victory."
"Wolfpack, the 2010 defense budget has gone from $655 to $664 billion. How you or Sean Hannity can call that a cut in defense spending shows the angry little fantasy world you guys live in"
The far right have lost what little grip on Reality they actually had pre Nov 4th 2008.
Heh, but it' always nice to see cheney's defenders, what with his 8% approval rating and all...
“I don’t think he is out of line, but he is dead wrong. ... The last administration left us in a weaker posture than we’ve been any time since World War II: less regarded in the world, stretched more thinly than we ever have been in the past, two wars under way, virtually no respect in entire parts of the world,” Biden said.
No, comments like Wolfpack's all make sense when you understand that to diehard GOP supporters, up is down, left is right, black is white, right is wrong and defeat is victory.
Understand that and everything GOP supporters say makes sense. :-)
In fact, if you apply the following criteria to dick cheney's comments below, you will find that, in fact, he is talking sense. :-)
up is down
left is right
black is white
right is wrong
losing is winning
defeat is victory.

And about that "cut" in military spending, what we're looking at is a "cut" in R&D. The cuts will mostly come in the way of developmental programs with a history of huge cost overruns. The Air Force is going to have to make due with a few less F-22s but the rank and file in the military won't be affected by this.
Sec. Gates is trying to get military planners to quit planning for the cold war to go hot and to focus more on smaller insurgent type armies. This means the big pie in the sky programs aren't really necessary.
As far as the actual troops go, their funding is going to be increased.
When the right-wing shrieking heads start going off that Pres. Obama is cutting their funding, it's important that we look at the specifics. If we don't, they'll be howling that Pres. Obama doesn't support the troops.
To quote Barney Fife: "You've got to nip it in the bud."
"If we don't, they'll be howling that Pres. Obama doesn't support the troops."
Heh, I already called one of our trolls out on this earlier. The same individual that called any critics of GWB "traitors" and "un-patriotic" throughout the Bush/Cheney regime.
I'll be interested what you Americans can dig up on targetting the new enemy which we all face, as you state - being radical and fight to the death type insurgents. If anything I remain a firm believer that GWB's so-called "war on terror" has fuelled fundementalism and therefore exposed American citizens to more acts of terrorist attrocities to come. Cheney is a shadowy and if not evil character in my opinion. I'm simply refreshed he's been relegated to the toilet bowl of history, along with his uhm....heh, "boss".
Boy, I do love reading the comments of Sarge, Wolfpack, and the other far right guys. It brightens up my day. From here on out, We should call you guys, the Hannity Boyz. I will agree with you guys on one thing though, Joe Biden is a loud mouth whether those on the left want to admit it or not.
Gov't spending as percentage of US GDP will reach the levels you see in the basically socialist economies of W Europe, where participatory democracy is all but dead.
Under Obama every sector of government will grow by numbers Americans have never seen before.
Yet there is exactly one government institution facing cuts from this administration.
Predictably, even the 'liberals' here in the armed forces rush to defend their dear leader who, like Clinton, despises the US military.
I can't imagine what cognitive dissonance of that magnitude does to the mind and spirit.
Biden is the dumbest Vice President since Rockefeller back in the 70s. He has been caught in so many bald faced lies, that its hard to take the man seriously on anything. Add in Obamas complete and total incompetence in foreign policy, and I have serious fears for the next 4 years.

Biden said the exact opposite is true, and former President George W Bush’s vice president was part of a dysfunctional decision-making system." (italics added)
I think he hit the nail on the head with that one.
+1. Thank God that US got rid of those two. Biden is realistic, he doesn´t lie on your face or has a hidden second agenda, as Chenney had.

Well you maybe a weeeeee bit off there ole mighty far right winger of tales. Everything I have read suggest that Vice President Biden is one of the Smarts V.P.'s we have had in our country. If you have some inside information, please do tell. All American's are waiting for your information......

Hell it can not be as bad as it has been for the last 8 years. At least President Obama uses diplomacy to try and resolve issues. I myself like his approach better than the Gunboat foreign policy of the Bush administration.
