China has over a billion people. The CCP doesn't care since it has more than enough replacements. Life in China is cheap, when you have too many people.

first of all, what the heck are you babbling about son? a lot of people are likely dead. have a care...it's free. second of all, had a similar tragedy (ferry, train, plane, etc) happened in the US, there would already be 100s of comments of empathy and condolences here on JT.

Maglev, on this site you'll have a hard time finding much, if any, sympathy for Chinese people. Condolences to all the families but let's pray there are many survivors.

RIP to the victims.
The Chinese government at the very least owe their families an open thorough investigation. Let's see if they produce the results or be swept again behind closed judicial doors while families are hidden away.

Its not that I don't care, its just in China, they can lose thousands of people to these kinds of preventable accidents and their government doesn't have the ability to uphold safety standards to stop them from happening in the first place. 450 is a lot to lose in ONE accident. If a storm is going on, shouldn't a ship be moving away from it on it's course? Not enough warning of inclement weather patterns?

The official Xinhua News Agency quoted the captain and chief engineer, who were both rescued, as saying the ship sank quickly after being caught in a cyclone. The Communist Party-run People’s Daily said the ship sank within two minutes. CCTV said the two men were under police custody.
CCTV said the four-level ship had been carrying 406 Chinese passengers, five travel agency employees and 47 crew members. The broadcaster said most of the passengers were 50 to 80 years of age.
RIP all victims \
