Abnd to think that the "Surge" that started a year-and-a-half ago had basically silenced this under President Bush's watch. Now with President Obama, its starting to look like a regular thing again....

The US troops aren't in the streets like they were before. They are staying on US bases unless they go out with an Iraqi unit, in a joint mission. But besides that the US isn't taking it to the enemy now. The Iraqi police and military have to take the control of things. < :-)
