Oil spill is not just about the issue of money, it is about the distruction og the whole ecosystem where everyone else depends for a living. The tourism industry was devastated. The BP oil leak catastrophe will continue to affect local economies around the Gulf of Mexico for many years, and the environment will require decades of recovery. Now the Associated Press reports that New Orleans is back in the thick of an oil slick thanks to an errant tow boat called the Pere Ana C. The boat hit the Louisiana marshland which happened to have a wellhead inside it. MSNBC reports that Plaquemines Parish President Nungesser explains oil is shooting within the air right about now.
