That's the same European Union that's eating its own young in an attempt to survive collective bancruptcy, is it.....?

Clegg is disappointed the UK didn't accept a new EU treaty. His coalition has determined that any new treaty will be put to a referendum whereupon it will surely be rejected. So, unless Clegg was hoping to sign up to a treaty without having a referendum, it's surely better for the UK to stay out of the thing from the start?
I suspect that despite paying lip service to the idea of having a referendum Clegg will do everything possible to prevent the people from having their say. This is the usual way of things in the EU.
Anyway, who cares if the UK is isolated? I very much doubt that all 26 other countries will sign up to this vague pact proposed by France and Germany. Whilst they waste their time drawing that up they are doing nothing to stabilise the Euro.

It is insane. Watching the Eurocrats in Brussels trying to establish their EUSSR dictatorship against the will of their populations, one has to wonder if the conspiracy theorists are on to something with their illuminati and world government stuff.
It is embarrassing watching the Euro elites do this to their countries. And thanks to Cameron for finally standing up against, if even so feebly.

Margaret Thatcher, like Milton Friedman, seemed quite prescient on this issue:
"In my lifetime all our problems have come from mainland Europe and all the solutions have come from the English-speaking nations across the world."
