The poor British. Victims of their own political correctedness. To be politically corrected is to find enlightenment I guess. Of course 911 was used as an excuse by Bush and the Brits to get Saddam out. Because the stupid UN and their wimping out to "world opinion" back in 1991 didn't finish the job they had started. More that Bush or the Brits for the 2003 invasion of Iraq I blame the Useless Nations for paving the way for a coalition of the willing 12 years later because they were too cowardly to finish the job that would have had a lot more backing in 91 than it did in 03. But then when have the UN done a very good job lately?

When does the UN go on trial for their failings?

The first Bush chickened out back in '91, even after the US persuaded the Kurds to rise up against Saddam Hussein. Like the Bay of Pigs invasion, the Kurds rose up but without US supporting and thus got slaughtered and gassed.

Heh - who'd have thought we'd find the invasion supporters whining about the UN instead of addressing the topic at hand;
That Tony Blair's government built a case for attacking another country on fabricated, or at the best flawed information - and then proceeded to lie to the electorate as millions protested in the streets.
Now I know the standard knee-jerk is coming -that Saddam sodomised forcfully the football team and all the incubator babies stuff, but these crooks should be brought to justice for all the dead people they caused through their dishonest behaviour.
Not that I'm expecting anything other than a white-was akin to the two previous UK enquiries. Heh, the government appoints people to investigate itself once again....

Saddam brought it on himself.

"some Bush administration officials were calling for Saddam Hussein's ouster as early as 2001"
They had it right. National Geographic produced an excellent video titled Barbarians - Saddam Hussein is included in it.
