I wonder if Jeb can vault past Trump in the polls...

If Jeb is elected the only thing that will happen is an amnesty. Otherwise, nothing will happen. Just listen to him call visa violations "extended stays." Sounds like a special deal at a hotel.

Trump’s plan is “not based in reality” and too expensive.

He obviously likes it, then.

Tough times for the Jebster (anyone know his real name?) I hope he doesn't have to stage a mock deportation of his own wife and kids to appease the rabid wingnuts.

Jeb lost when it comes to his previous comments about immigration and Common core. Appreciate the honesty, but because he is an honest guy, it's killing him in the polls. No one is interested in either of these issues or better, NO one wants to give in or be persuaded on these to volatile issues.

The only thing that works in Bush's favor is he does way better with Hispanics than Trump, he's fluent in Spanish and Trump is fluent on the rhetoric and that's not helping Trump either.

The law making all children born on American soil Americans is seriously outdated. The whole point was to bolster the population for the purpose of keeping what land was stolen to make the U.S. and being able to steal more. But the U.S. has no such enemies today and is not looking to expand. Yet, the outdated law remains. Remove it, and one piece of this puzzle will be solved.

I approve of building the fence, for the sake of the future rather than past, but trying to send people back only to let certain ones return later is madness.

Both Jeb and Trump might have some good ideas here and there, but their general plans show us they are both incompetent head cases.

Moving in the opposite direction now. He has been a disaster so far with many self-inflicted wounds (the Iraq War) and others created by Trump (no one wants another Bush in the White House). He is also turning out to be a lousy campaigner putting people to sleep with his speeches. He has no charisma at all. He has a few months to pull out the tailspin or he, along with Jindal and Perry and many others, will be toast. Trump is a killer of mediocre candidates, and by that I mean all of the republican candidates.

Is it too late for a rebranding? What kind of southern sounding good old boy name could he use?

Bobby (Jindal) and Ricky (Perry) are already taken, plus they sound too much like a satire about NASCAR pit crews.

Kind of corny when you realize that his nickname turns out be an acronym for his full name: JEB is John Ellis Bush.

This is going to get ugly.

Voting for Jeb Bush is not reality based.

Bo? Luke? Daisy?

How could any reasonable person not denounce Trump's immigration plan? The Donald issue epitomizes where the GOP finds itself. Painted into a corner. Having to appeal to the angry xenophobic, homophobic, ____-phobic base to win the primary, but having to back off the extremism to win the general election.

The majority of Americans are not rednecks, fundamental Christians, or billionaires.

Now Jeb is shifting the 'anchor baby' term away from Hispanics and onto Asians. Good luck with that. Unless you want to go back to the 1930s and think scapegoating certain ethnic groups is a key to success.

There is no way the GOP will win, no matter who its candidate is. The Republican Party is completely out of touch with what most Americans think.

I am not enthusiastic about Hillary Clinton, but the GOP field is appalling.

"The Republican Party is completely out of touch with what most Americans think."

Then that CNN poll that has Hillary leading Trump by a mere 6 points, 51 percent to 45 percent must be bogus.

Let HIM and his Family PAY for them all then.

Trump is a killer of mediocre candidates, and by that I mean all of the republican candidates.

And very likely the Democrats as well. So funny that all the so--called Smart People in politics in media still can't quite figure out how a wildly successful businessman that promises to stick up for the little guy is so much more popular than the two worst campaigners of the two most disliked political dynasties in the country that promise to only further alienate average Americans from the democratic underpinnings of our republic.

I just love hearing stupid Republicans stupidly talking about stupidly repealing the 14th Amendment.

It guarantees a Democratic victory for not only the White House, but all the way down ticket as well.
