"Task Impossible" while Bush remains in power. Abbas, however loud he may speak it is a bass !

  • 0

    Zaphod

It is a "task impossible", whoever is in power. Arab muslims will never accept a Jewish state, no matter how small. Bush is delirious to think that giving money to Abbas will change the fundamental situation.

Arab muslims will never accept a Jewish state" actually, they probably won't accept Jews being in the world period.

if someone smart lookin' told him, he'd be confident the world is flat and even sadder millions of Americans would beleive it too

Arab muslims will never accept a Jewish state

Neither will the Jews, the real ones Jews.

Anyway, there is no reason to murder and evict millions of Palestinians from their land, just so that people that allegedly follow one religion can have a so-called home.

57 Arab and Islamic states would normalize relations with Israel." 57 to 1 man I that throws you for a loop or what. Anyway, I think Abbas has lost a lot of Arab support and he should consult with those 57 states before he speaks for their support

This just goes to show how crazy and nutty Bush has become.

"This just goes to show how crazy and nutty Bush has become"

I dunno - it's possible the Palestinians will eventually realize that if they want to have their own state, they're going to have to get with the program and accept Israel.

" I dunno - it's possible the Palestinians will eventually realize that if they want to have their own state, they're going to have to get with the program and accept Israel. "

Palestinian Arabs have their state -- it is called Jordan and covers most of historical Palestine. The muslim issue with Israel is about the fate of the Palestinisn, it is about the existence of a Jewish state in the middle of the Ummah.

Bush is delusional about this, clinging to the Western idea that every conflict can be solved by compromises.

Well, let's just say that Bush and confidence go together as well as oil and water.

The people of the West Bank should dispatch Fatah and Hamas.

Those who call themselves "Palestinian" must set aside their pride, look to Israel and emulate her successes.

These "Palestinians" then can create a bona fide government that is recognized by free countries the world over.

    Hopefully in my life's time.

Bush is a Liar and there will not be any Palistinian State after 60 years to destroy the Palistinian people. The next middle east war is coming soon and this will allow the Neo-Cons controlling to attack Iran, this will cause Israel to wipe out many Palistinians for good! It will also lead to dictatorship in America.

Palestinian Arabs have their state -- it is called Jordan and covers most of historical Palestine

Apart from me having already explained to him perviously where Palestine is and who is regarded as Palestinians. I also find it inflammatory that people have to put Palestinians in quotes. Denying a people's existence is the ultimate creed. The denial mechanism could be compared with the Holocaust denial. It illustrates what racists they are but when supporting the most racist country on this planet which practice far worse racial discrimination than even what South Africa did on the height of apartheid according to anti apartheid activists such as Desomnd Tutu and Jimmy Carter then why should I be suprised?

No justice no peace. The only way to achieve peace is when Israel releases all the prisoners they have kidnapped and retreat to 1967 borders which was unanimously adopted by the UN security council including USA. Then this easiest conflict in the world is solved.

The United States of America is in serious trouble, we have dual citizenship officials running most of our government with loyalty to Israel, we have Rice and others being called as witnessed in Israel Lobby spy case and we have Israel spying on Americans in America. The United States has been taken over by a criminal gang that controls the Banks who are linked straight into CIA. Why! is it that Bank of America, Citibank and JP Morgan are in the News. Where has all the American people`s money gone, into Swiss bank accounts in Basel maybe? Sub-Prime is a accuse to blame the theft of hundreds of trillions of dollars on some poor people. Of course sub-prime loans were packaged with derivatives and other worthless stock. To creat! sub prime problem. This was all allowed with out any regulations being followed and pure fruad. They are also stealing money from other people and countries around the world? Will they take everyone down, leaving them holding all the loans and the wealth of the world, along with the Gold!

I think you are asking too much from Palestinians. You are expecting them to take control of western media, bribe and blackmail western leaders, and get the backing of world bankers. I'm afraid that will never happen. But I think more people are wisening up, and eventually (hopefully soon) Israelis will be put in their place and Palestinians will get long-deserved justice.

Abbas is in the pockets of Bush and Bush and USA is in the pockets of Jews according to Israeli politiciians Nethanyahu, Sharon, Olmert. These talks are a waste of time.

Yes! Nethanyahu, Sharon and Olmert and Bush are in the pockets of the EXXON and Bank of England.

Bush confident [smirk] about creation of "Palestinian" [smirk] state

  • 0

    frontandcentre

redacted - quit with all the hatred against Palestinians, will you. You'd be the first to complain if somebody invaded your country, murdered innocent people, removed any vestige of security and stole all of your property. Sounds a bit like the USA in Iraq, actually, never mind Israel and Palestine.

  • 0

    skipthesong

FnC: Why don't you be a bit more open, you have several posters above making much worse hated remarks and you sit silent.

invaded your country, murdered innocent people, removed any vestige of security and stole all of your property." So, you are implying that Jews came running in this place, had a whole lot of weapons and had enough health to create an army just a year and a half after six million of them were sent to their deaths..

Those areas were actually invaded more by the allied Arab armies of that time, the Palestinians left them there because they thought their Arab brothers, who are also part of their current problems mind, would annihilate Israel.. They chose the battle field, not Israel. The Palestinians need to equally gripe to the Arab Muslim lead countries..

YOu guys cry if the US supports Israel as though it is not their business yet wave flags and cheers when Muslim lead and Arab countries so far away show support for Palestinians.. HIP HOP

Industries: generally small family businesses that produce cement, textiles, soap, olive-wood carvings, and mother-of-pearl souvenirs; the Israelis have established some small-scale, modern industries in the settlements and industrial centers

These people need to redirect their efforts.

  • 0

    sabiwabi

Here is the catch. Palestinian Christians are just as much against the Zionist entity as Palestinian Muslims.

Yes, and so were many of the Palestinian Jews who lived there before 1948.

  • 0

    skipthesong

Many of the true Jews were opposed to the creation of Israel" Why?

About 90% of those who call themselves Jews today are not decedents of those Jews" And equally a great % of those who call themselves Palestinians are really not. So, you got a big sand box with a bunch of people calling themselves something they are not...

Besides, basically, you are implying that the land was once Jewish and since those "real" Jews are no longer there, its left to the Palestinians. And you still leave a 10%... That isn't enough?

Well, until the day before their state was created, their "army" was recognized as a bunch of terrorists. They were given weapons leftover from WWII." Ok, what weapons, from who, how many? You claim to know.

George: Sorry, I just did a search, read it and pasted it. I am not on a regular PC and can't look at the history.

Many of the true Jews were opposed to the creation of Israel" Why?

Judaism is opposed to the creation of the state of Israel.

  • 0

    skipthesong

sabi: Just who are you to state who is and who is not a "Jew". Couldn't that be used against any other people? I mean, since Islam uses texts and culture from Arabic, then Muslims from Malaysia and Indonesia are not Muslims either thus they have no right to get upset about Muslims in other places?

Judaism is opposed to the creation of the state of Israel." How does a religion speak of this?

"Therefore when Americans and Zionists call out Anti-Semite they really do not know what they are talking about."

George writes:"Here is the catch. Palestinian Christians are just as much against the Zionist entity as Palestinian Muslims."

"About 25 percent of Palestinians are Christian, yet if there are any Palestinian Christian suicide bombers, I am unaware of them. Now why is that? Don't Muslim and leftist apologists incessantly tell us that the reason for Palestinian terror is "Israeli occupation and oppression"? Why, then, are there no Palestinian Christian terrorists? Are Christian Palestinians less occupied?"

" Here is the catch. Palestinian Christians are just as much against the Zionist entity as Palestinian Muslims. "

No, here is the catch: About 5% of the Arabs in the West Bank are Gazah are Christians (as of now... the number is decreasing rapidly because of muslim intimidation), but NONE of the suicide bombers who try to kill Jews is Christian. NONE of the various terrorist groups is Christian -- or can you think of a "Hizb-al-Jesus" or some such?

The Arab Christians are just much victims of muslim violence as are the Jews. And yes, naturally, they can not openly speak against their victimizers, because that would mean quick death.

Btw, how about responding to the facts listed by skipthesong? We should better not wait for answer, right?

Actually Palestinian Archimandrite Theodosios Hanna, of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem has on numerous of occasions accused Israel for ethnic cleansing.

He has said.* We are suffering, because they are Palestinians and they want to stay in their homeland... *

Greek Orthodox Father Atallah Hanna used to praise suicide attacks calling it martyr operations and told the Palestinian Christians to resist the Zionism.

The Zionist Jews are foreigners in this land. They have no right to live or settle in it. They should go somewhere else in the world to establish their state and their false entity. With regard to Palestine and its beating heart Jerusalem, it was never in the hands of the Jews. It was and will forever remain Arab. Jerusalem is an Arab city and the Jews must not settle in it, be masters over it, or carry out any type of religious ritual or ceremony in it. They must leave their homes. They have no right to live on land, [or in] cities or villages that are not theirs

This is a Christian saying this. Notice how Palestinian do not use religion to describe their home land but rather ethnicity? Palestinians say Palestine is Arab. Arabs are both Jews, Muslims and Christians.

    GeorgeRoualt:

" This is a Christian saying this. Notice how Palestinian do not use religion to describe their home land but rather ethnicity? Palestinians say Palestine is Arab. Arabs are both Jews, Muslims and Christians. "

Yes, there are Christian antisemites too, and now wonder you would dig up Father Atallah Hanna with his close ties to Arafat.

However, the fact remains: Christian Arabs are being rapidly decimated by the muslims, and Father Hanna´s brown-nosing of the aggressors won`t change that.

And, the fact remains: Although 5% of the Palestinian Arabs are (still) Christian, ZERO percent of the suicide bombers are. Zilch, none.

And the fact remains: The term "Palestinian" to describe muslim Arabs who live in area is an political invention of the 70s. Before the 70s, the word "Palestinian" was not used that way.

It's true that it's not really a religious issue. The Israelis could be any religion. The issue is that they are on the land.

But the debate is mostly a smoke screen. They're just letting us know they want to extermnate millions of people not because of their religion, but for another reason. It's the whole "exterminate millions of people" thing that's the problem.

"I'll never forget that when the Palestinians living in Israel were offered the opportunity to go and live on the other side of the "green line," to live amongst fellow Palestinians, not among Jews in Israel, nobody took the offer... because the Palestinian has everything better in a Jewish state than in an Arab state."

Israel was created by the backing of UK and USA, in an area not belonging to any of this countries, with a previous planned overpopulation by jews. Before 1948, jews groups were the terrorists bombing places like the King David Hotel. That's just history and we just watch the wheels keep going by...

The apologists for absolutely anything that Israel says or does have been spouting their bile and lies here for far too long. What a pity - the effect is that anyone who tries to take a balanced and progressive view to trying to find a peaceful solution, such as Jimmy Carter, is castigated as a friend of terrorists or an anti-semite. No progress is possible when too many people hold such irrational and unreasonable views.

The trouble is, reading some of the above, I think there are many right wingers leading comfortable lives thousands of miles away from Israel and Palestine who'd be very happy if this brutal conflict keeps rolling on. Why? Because they haven't a scrap of humanity between them, and are basically pleased to see Muslims - even women and children - being killed on a daily basis. They won't admit that, but effectively that's what they support and it is no better or worse than wishing Israelis dead. Both viewpoints are DISGUSTING
