Odd list. I guess since Bush's clout and legacy are so tattered he is not risking any cronyism? Or has it just been omitted?

When you look at it like that, Pee Wee Herman could be next...

He still has more time. The well known won't be pardoned until the last minute. I'm waiting to see if Scooter Libby makes that list.

I'm not defending bush on this at all, but it DOES have to be pointed out that he has done far less pardoning of people than the past few presidents. Now... the big question is, can he keep it up? I, forever the pessimist who's been proven right when it comes to bush, believe he will indeed grant protections to the people who have been illegally wiretapping and/or the preemptive pardons for harsh interrogations, etc. If he doesn't, then I'll give my hats off to him on this. If he does, he truly is a criminal himself indeed.

Great work Bush, a man with a heart and soul right to the end.

Dude - Do you think President Bush was right to pardon the guy who put pesticide in hamburger to kill some pesky coyotes and ended up killing 3 bald eagles?

One hot topic of discussion related to pardons is whether Bush might decide to issue pre-emptive pardons before he leaves office

Can I get a pre-emptive pardon for giving him the mother of all wedgies that he's had coming for some years now?

Anyway, not as venal as Clinton was with the pardons. That's a good sign. And pardons for convicted bank fraudsters -- brave, in light of recent events.
