so whats the latest on that one guy? you know that one guy who started this whole war on suicide bombers, osama something. is getting iraq stable the US' way of getting "revenge" for 9/11? dont you all see that this was bush's plan all along. maybe the gov wasnt involved in 9 11 but they sure as hell was glad it happened word to pearl harbor

japanyesterday- Bin Ladin is not longer important. He is hiding in a cave without any contact to the outside world.

We are arresting the evil doers in Afghanistan and Iraq daily. Bush could never be please 9-11 happened, he is an honest man of peace. Most people in Afghanistan and Iraq have photos of Bush in thei houses. Thay seem him as a beacon of freedom.

2. If US forces remain in iraq is destined to pass $1 trillion by 2010. Though the true cost of the war could be more than double this, when taking into account of long-term medical care of injured solider's and economic costs due to high oil prices.
3. Annual, $110+ billion iraq war costs comprises nearly a quarter of the US budget deficit, and anticipated further weakening in the dollar.
4. The original cost estimate for the war was $50 billion, the cost to date is ten times that with no end in sight.
5. Increasingly the Iraq war is seen as the biggest mistake since the Vietnam war, with a recent poll showing 56 percent of Americans now say it was a mistake for the United States to have become involved in the Iraq war.

In fact, heh, support for the invasion/occupation has hit such an all time low that the only people supporting it here are new handles that are doing it for fun.

Kinda puts all the 2002 shrieking we endured into perspective.

Since other notice was removed, I'll revise it to the rules of forum.

Ask one question. Bin Ladden was in Afghanistan. Why did they Bomb Iraq? This is a common sense question which the world doesn't ask becauase they are afraid to be boycotted.

Because 911 was the excuse they created themselves. Every evidence of WMD which was pushed was based on a lie. So if those who believe this war was legal and legit, then they need to rethink very carefully.

Iraq, Iran, Syria, Iran, and Afghanistan are important? Because of OIL. Minerals and most important strategic power. They also want to build pipes right through and because of minerals, because of border power. USA is in great debt and to pay for it's debt, it needs wars, and those wars creates money, in the billions.

Bush has nothing in control in Iraq. The USA is NOT winning any hearts in IRAQ or any War in Iraq. Thats hype. Anyone with sense would see that this war on Iraq has been going on for years. It's not going to end. It's another Vietnamn and another one USA will lose.

When 911 happened, the world was with USA, but when they lied, created deception and more lies on WMD and moving people to the real focus, then now, the real truth, many countries around the world see USA as a country that hungers for power, war and likes to tell others to not have nuclear weapons.

USA has bombed, has aided more dictators than any country to date. Remember, OSAMA was a very good friend of USA, and they funded, trained him to the hilt. The way they did with Saddam Hussein.

I'm not sure, but I think that means, "nyah-nyah-nyah nyah nyah-nyah". I think it would be better if you would tell us what you think and how you feel.

For myself, I think I could stand us "winning" in Iraq if I knew what that meant and if it were really happening.

So... bush admits 'NOW some security gains may be lasting'.... so what happened to the accomplished mission so long ago? What happened to the 28 corners turned and all the successes made since 4 years ago? Only NOW is it possible for some security gains to last, while the US government has been lying about them lasting the whole time? Geez... and THIS time they seemed so sincere!

Sarge- Way to go!!! You tell it how it is, and the other guys know youre right, but cant admit it. Iraq is a great success, we made it into a first class democracy, streets are safe and Iraq`s are happy. Great news!!!!!!

Well, I would say that if you think the Iraqis are living the American dream, I think it may be the case that you are an American dreaming. When nearly 20 people a day are gunned down or bombed away on the streets, the streets are not safe.

A combination of factors, the surge being one, have led to security improvements. Measured by numbers of civilians killed, Iraq is safer. However, it is not safe.
