Looks like Russia is announcing a halt to military activity in Georgia. Thank God.

Either way Russians won this war. It will embolden them to re-conquer former USSR republics. The next most likely victime Ukraine.

Yesterday, USA invaded Iraq. Sadly today, It is Russia beating up Georgia. May be tomorrow, China might be beating up Myanmar (Burma)? or something along this line, who knows? The world has become A ONE BIG JUNGLE, with only one law...... "The Law of the JUNGLE".

iraq has nothing to with russian act of agresion. iraq had WMD and used them. Georgian only want freedom like USA.

This can still be kept a non-victory for Russia. Obviously they don't want to really have to face the US and Nato so they're going to have to live without being able to topple the Georgia govt. Time to apply pressure and get those Russian Peacekeepers out of there, and replaced with NATO or UN peacekeepers. Keep Condi Rice on their necks, dealing with Russians is her real cup of tea.

I understand that France's President Sarcozy has gotten some sort of an agreement to halt continued Russian attacking and humanitarian services.

We can only pray for peace and sane minds getting this solved.

If a state of Georgia wants to leave Georgia, we need lots discussion. We need lots of opinions, directions and people wants and needs considered.

This attack by Russia was way over the top and may do more harm then help. Only time will tell. < :-)

Bush suddenly realizes the implications of being a lame duck. And "Iraq has nothing to with Russian act of aggression. Iraq had WMDs and used them. Georgian only want freedom like USA." What tripe! Should read: "Iran has nothing to do with American acts of aggression. The USA has WMDs and has used used them on civilian populations. The world only want freedom from the USA.!"

LIBERTAS - Iraq used them because the US sold them to them. If we'd have never sold WMD, they wouildn't have used them.

When george bush attacked Iraq, the WMD that they continued to talk about didn'r exist.

    But back to Georgia.

President Sarcozy not president george bush could get an agreement with Russia. How long this cease fire lasts is questionable, but at least we have plans to get humanitarian efforts and supplies to the innocent victoms to this attack.

Maybe if president bush contacts President Sarcozy, he can use our ships, doctors and supplies to help the Georgians. < :-)

I think Condi's cup of tea is dealing with the Soviets. Dealing with the Russians is a different thing.
