I've been watching the videos on BBC. The rioters come across as some sort of primitive, predatory beasts that move in packs. Is this some sort of nightmarish vision of humanity's future?

A Wednesday match between England and the Netherlands at London’s Wembley stadium was canceled.

This was going to be a charity match for Street League International which helps young out-of-work people turn their lives around. A bit of irony there.

Exactly. These are humans.

I saw one black guy sitting on the ground with a busted up face, bleeding, some white guys came over to "help", but actually all they did was distract him while one opened his backpack and took off with some stuff.

Humans really are just a grand version of the chimpanzee, usually trying hard to pretend they are something more. These people have just stopped with the pretending.

Unless a swift and decisive crackdown is put in place there's likely to be more deaths, looting, and burning. Humanity is only skin deep. It's always been my belief that the sole purpose of any governing body is to protect individuals from those that wish to strip them of property or cause them deliberate harm, if it fails in even this regard it is a useless institution and should be reviewed and changed to better perform its actual duties.

The diversity buck tends to stop just beyond the main hub of commerce and politics. Though thats the case in most European countries. Within those hubs I can expected to be treated fairly well but outside of that I'm more of an exhibit than a customer.
