Different day, different handler, different stance, different interpretation,... Hey, Kellyanne, which way is the wind blowing today?

"Donald Trump has been disciplined and mature"
We are talking about a man pushing 70 running for president of the US. They make him sound like a child who hasn't thrown a tantrum for a few days.
How much longer can the trash inside build up?

Poll numbers reflect nothing, voters change their mind at last minute. Trump has his frame because his famous will lead him to victory

Its amusing to see all the people here writing off trump - wishful thinking.

Election Update: National Polls Show The Race Tightening — But State Polls Don’t
http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/election-update-national-polls-show-the-race-tightening-but-state-polls-dont/?ex_cid=ABC-News-
Probably because state polls are always lagging indicators. The more the media tries to push this crap as news the more it is going to end up to Trump's benefit.
FizzBit
Love these quotes from African Americans:
"It's been so ingrained in us what we have been doing these past few years, and just like he said last night, it hasn't worked. But we're among those who are listening and want to try something new, so we are excited."
toshiko
Even after Trump showed compassion to flood ictim, Hillary has more electrical estimate of 289 against Trump 190.

'Getting back on track'.......hmm, so the GOP knows how far off track Trump is! No way will he win and Trump, if he is as smart as he says he is, knows this.
Outrider
FizzBit, thanks for the info. I know there are lots of black americans who dont buy in to the hillary myth and lots who are willing to consider trump.
nadaku
Usually I would say form over substance because he is Mr "no-policy". But as far as form is concerned..... that said, he hasn't made a total muppet of himself the last few days.
The comments that he is on track however are downright laughable. The only track he is on is a one-way track into middle of nowhere.
Strangerland
I'm not sure what you consider to be 'lots', but Fox "News" is reporting it's only 1% of black voters: http://insider.foxnews.com/2016/08/14/poll-only-1-percent-african-americans-support-donald-trump
Outrider
strangerland, since when did you start quoting fox news as a reliable source?
Strangerland
If I picked a left-wing news source, people would claim it's biased. So I picked the right-wing news source, which has more motivation to exaggerate the numbers.
As such, whether you accept the number as accurate or exaggerated, it's at best 1%.
I suppose some people may consider that 'lots'. As a pure number it probably is. As a relative percentage of the black population, it's negligible.
Outrider
strangerland, you always dismiss everything fox news says. now you are quoting it because you think it supports your arguement.
Strangerland
Heh, you must be bitter that not only did I show that the word 'lots' was wrong, I did it using a right-wing source.
Outrider
Not at all. Im just wondering why someone who always says fox news is full of lies suddenly starts believing it.
Strangerland
Oh, sorry, I hadn't realized you didn't read my other post. Here it is for you again:
Let me know if you need me to copy and paste it again for you. It only takes a moment.
Outrider
I think you need to read my posts again. You are suddenly giving credibility to a news source you have always disparaged as being innaccurate if not downright false in its reportage because now you think it supports your arguement.
Laguna
Are they being serious or sarcastic? Or maybe they're being partially sarcastic. With the Trump campaign, one can never be certain.
Strangerland
Oh sorry, I didn't realize you hadn't read my other post. Let me cut and paste it again for you, since it addresses the issues you bring up:

You'd like to think that, wouldn't you.
CrazyJoe
Donald could go ahead and adopt Hillary's entire platform and policies, and not lose a single member of his zealot base. In fact, they'd be even more excited now that they'd have specific plans they could cite when defending his lack of policy details.
MrBum
@Outrider
Sorry, you're the one that needs to read and comprehend better. Strangerland explained his reasoning behind citing Fox News pretty well. You on the other hand sound like a broken record...
Jimizo
Trump at 1% among black voters?
Bugger this new cuddly approach. Go back to racism and trash talk. He may as well. Just unecessary stress for a senior citizen struggling with discipline and maturity.
Strangerland
Yeah, at this point he may as well accept that he's lost the black vote with the exception of the few zealots that have already thrown their towel in with him. He'll probably see more of a ROI trying to work on Hispanics, which he seems to be doing.
zurcronium
Fox News has improved since Ailes was fired for sexual harassment of nearly every female employee at Fox. Of course Trump hired the sexual deviant to run his campaign. But now Fox news instead of lying 100% of the time is only lying 99% of the time. That is huge. Strangerland found that 1% truth statement about support for Trump among Blacks.
JefferyDomer
@Strangerland
WRONG
LA TImes Black support polling @ 14.6%
Hillary and Obama didn`t go to Millwaukee after severe riots. Trump did!
Just admit it, You LOVE Obama and his policies and think the rainbow house is going in the right direction! Obamacare is AWESOME and doesn`t hurt any small businesses. TPP and TTIP are excellent deals! All 16 million illegal immigrants should be made full citizens TODAY! and their whole families ought to be able to join them! White people should be more PC and give all their possessions to minorities TODAY. Every bathroom in the world should allow cross dressing men to enter washrooms with your little girl because that would make them more comfortable!
Strangerland
Why wouldn't I admit that. I do love Obama and his policies, and I'm happy to see LBGTQ finally beginning to gain acceptance as being normal.
Yep, it sure is.
Well, I can't say that, I'm sure it makes things more difficult for some/many small businesses. But that doesn't mean it's not the right thing to have done.
TPP is horrible. I don't know what the TTIP is.
I don't think anyone has claimed that, anywhere. If they have, they are an extreme fringe.
Well, white people should be more open minded as to how it is to be a minority. I don't think anyone has claimed that they should be giving their possessions to anyone.
No, just those who are transgendered, and have been recognized as such by doctors.
smithinjapan
It'll be less than a week before the REAL Donald Trump pops out again with a bigoted remark that the deniers first support, then deny is affecting Trump negatively. Then he'll fire those managers, too, and the new ones will say it's "not a shake up... it's an 'expansion'", etc.
Outrider
strangerland, So black support for trump is acrually at 14.6 percent. You want to cut and paste your post yet again?
Strangerland
Is it? I've not seen anything that says that.
Moderator
That won't be necessary.
Laguna
Trump's campaign is putting out mixed messages regarding undocumented immigrants. In addition to his "deport 'em all!" plan, he's signaled that he might be receptive to a path for some to legal residency - not citizenship - which, if true, would align him with the Democrats. We'll have to wait a bit, though, for clarification on whether he really means it or is being sarcastic and, in the latter case, his degree of sarcasm.
FizzBit
Well, there it is folks!
Lefties "claim" to be open minded, but put up some quotes from African Americans, minorities, that they disagree with, and you get the thumbs down treatment.
Where are your open minds now??? Or are minorities supposed to think whatever you SAY they must think.
It seems you disagree with their premise. Are not minorities allowed to have opinions, and shouldn't you respect those opinions?
I'm searching for a word...it starts with an hy and ends with a te.
Madverts
Well Fizz, you'll just have to accept that some of us have a hard time accepting the Alt-Right's integrity when it comes to defending minorities....
Strangerland
Are the comments you posted made by someone who has been chosen to represent black people? If not, they are just some random quotes by some random black people. If you want to take random quotes by random black people as representative of black people as a whole, then I assure you I can find some ridiculous quotes by random white people. Shall we also take those as being representative of all white people?
MrBum
@FizzBit
So you found a hand full of blacks and minorities who fell for Trump's BS... So what? I down vote ridiculous, baseless quotes that are completely lacking facts all the time, no matter where they come from. How is that close-minded or hypocrisy? You don't seem to understand the meaning of either.
Minorities are people like everyone else. They can be dumb or say dumb things like everyone else.

"the GOP knows how far off track Trump is! No way will he win"
Heck, MSNBC has Hillary up by 30 points!
But this is interesting: " GOP chairman: Trump is pivoting, polls will respond" ( Fox News )

FIzzBit, very true. BUt it is fun to watch the lefties duck and dive - even to the point of quoting their previously big enemy fox news - to avoid admitting the truth.
Jimizo
"FizzBit, very true. BUt it is fun to watch the lefties duck and dive - even to the point of quoting their previously big enemy fox"
I wonder why Fox possibly underestimated, sorry misunderestimated ( for GOPers), Trump's appeal to black voters? Did this data come out before the new PC, trash-free, Teleprompter Trump started apologising and playing nice?
They'll fall in line soon enough.
PTownsend
Is 'pivoting' a PC word in the reactionary lexicon for 'flip-flopping'? If he is in fact flip-flopping and taking a less radical perspective, will his followers still support this? Or is this latest iteration of the Don just this week's persona, one to be revised to fit wherever he appears?
I have noticed the thing on top of his head seems to be a different color. I guess the cheeto look only appealed to a certain demographic.
Outrider
ITs hard not to detect FEAR among the regressive left now.
FizzBit
Why should it matter?
Who said that? I didn't. I see you like doing this a lot.
I was just throwing the quotes out there. Have you been to Detroit recently? It IS a mess.
Would you say that to this woman face?
Outrider
FIzzBit, didnt you know - ordinary peoples opinions dont matter - particularly when they disagree with the regressive lefts pet narrative.
MrBum
Projection much? The left is the side of diversity and youth, i.e., the inevitable future. The right, particularly Trump's right, is the side of old white men, i.e., regression.
Yes, there is fear of a Trump victory and regression on the left, but he's losing at the moment and scrambling to "pivot" and firing his strategists every other day. That's hopeful for us on the left. If that doesn't at least worry you as a Trump fan, you're in serious denial. Fear is normal. Denial is kind of pathetic...
bass4funk
What about the Blacks that fall for Hillary's BS?
Seems like for the last 50 years, the Democratic Party has given Blacks nothing but pain and misery.
Strangerland
Damn rights. I can't think of many things that scares me more right now than the idea of a Trump presidency.
Because if they aren't, then you pulled random quotes from a couple of random black people - hardly representative of how black people feel about Trump.
Ok, shall I grab some random quotes by some random people that don't like Trump and get your opinion on them? And what would it matter - they are just random people.
If that's true, then why do black people keep voting Democratic over and over, every election? Do you think that you know more about what's best for black people than black people do?
MrBum
@FizzBit
No. Just like I wouldn't call a Trump University applicant a sucker to his or her face. No need to go out of my way to be rude and rub it in their face. If I knew them personally, I'd have a gentle talk about their decision making skills though.
@Outrider
Of course not all opinions matter. Especially when their coming from the obviously uninformed. Regardless, a lot more ordinary people in the black community think Trump is a moron. You don't seem to care about their opinion. Be careful, FizzBit might call you a hypocrite (and he'd actually be right this time).
@bass4funk
I'd respond to you, but my comment would get taken down for being insulting.
Outrider
MrBum, "diversity and youth" -- youth is right behind bernie and trump not hillary.
Jimizo
"Seems like for the last 50 years, the Democratic Party has given Blacks nothing but pain and misery."
So, what do the rightists do given that according to them, the Democratic Party have failed the black community completely and therefore, the GOP should have bucketloads of votes to pick up to win the presidency?
They elect a man who has been described as giving examples of 'textbook racism' by his own party. Did I mention he was also endorsed by the KKK ( and uncomfortably blasé about it ) and has the leaders of European racist parties swooning like schoolgirls on Twitter.
Genius. Utter genius.
MrBum
@Outrider
The youth behind Trump are like the minorities behind Trump. They're a very small sector. The masses were behind Bernie though. And who does Bernie stand behind?
Lizz
Is it? I've not seen anything that says that.
Maybe not exactly. I have seen surveys anywhere from 20 to over 30 percent black support. If the pollster uses anonymous technology, they are not going to admit it to a live caller for obvious reasons.
Outrider
MrBum, bernie might be purporting to be behind hillary, but his former supporters are not.
Serrano
"He wants to double down on letting Donald Trump be Donald Trump,”
Heck, it got him the Republican nomination with a record number of votes.
This is interesting: "Eric Trump on resignation of campaign chair Paul Manafort" ( Fox News )
MrBum
@Outrider
I haven't looked at the exact numbers, but I'm pretty sure a good majority switched over with him. Hence, Clinton's lead over Trump. But I was talking more about the make up of the left. Bernie was far left and had the masses from all demographics. My point was that the left is progressive, not regressive.

So, what do the rightists do given that according to them, the Democratic Party have failed the black community completely and therefore, the GOP should have bucketloads of votes to pick up to win the presidency?
Politically in the dark, many don't understand the issues in depth and many don't care. Most Blacks that I know when confronted with the facts on liberals and you take them and rationally explain to them how Deomcrats devastated the Black community, most of them are really shocked some will still vote Democrat many vote independently and that's better.
Just as they have been mislead that Democrats are the saviors of Black people and that hasn't been the case and you can't tell me otherwise, I'm from California and I live next to one of the largest Black communities in that state and they vote Democrat by default and at the same time complain about the system and party they keep voting for every time.
Most of my Black friends are smart enough to know the difference of a group endorsing a candidate and the candidate endorsing the group, big difference.
-Sorry MODS, I got the threads mixed up. One post on the other thread is the wrong post. please delete.-

Not by anyone reputable.
SurveyUSA which is an established firm in the South did a flash poll for Civitas in North Carolina showing over 30% black support. The Rand Corp (USC poll) which was mentioned at 15% has also certainly been proven reliable.
Law abiding African Americans are the first to be killed by rising urban crime and have their jobs displaced by illegals. I'm not sure why Trump support is that much of a mystery.
Outrider
Lizz, trump approval among blacks doesnt fit in with regressive lefts self-image. They just cant accept it even though its a reality.
Lizz
Guiliani came away with 20 percent of the black vote in his last election for NYC Mayor so I predict Trump will get at least that. An entertainment mogul Republican for good measure. How scary can that be ?
Strangerland
And yet:
I couldn't even find the Rand corp poll you referred to.

How kind to explain to the black community what their interests are. No doubt, most were wide-eyed. (Please do not try to explain English until you master it yourself.)
Most. Nice. But doesn't this contradict your above comment?
Equality. It is both complex and simple. Perhaps someday we will realize it.
Lizz
The crucial point is how the poll was conducted. I am on the fence with online but automated/robo/flash polls like SurveyUSA does is much more likely to get a higher black (and Trump support overall) than live callers (NBC/Martis etc).
http://cesrusc.org/election/ = USC/LATimes (2012 developed by the Rand Corp and still run by that same team, just rebranded)
Strangerland
How are black people supposed to know their interests if a white person doesn't tell them?
bass4funk
I always here so many Blacks complaint how unfair the system is and how the man is out to get them and how Whites never give them a fair shot. When you drop out of school, you don't speak proper English and you run around thinking that the government owes you reparations and never teaches you self-reliance and for many they feel that in order to get ahead, they need to sell drugs or do whatever hustle it takes to get ahead, joining gangs, which is out of control, out of control single family homes, over 70% is a real recipe for diaster and sadly, many Blacks haven't figured out that for 50 years, the Democrats did nothing for them and they always choose the same party with the same policies that keep them in same economical and social conditions.
Strangerland
Aren't the black people so lucky to have you to tell them their issues Bass!
Jimizo
@Bass
Your efforts to lead the black community to political awareness are admirable.
Did you recommend your choice Ben Carson and explain how a biblically inspired flat tax is the way forward and warn them to get ready for Obama's declaration of martial law?
If you'd told me that I'd be ROFLing my Benghazi off.
bass4funk
Go down South Central, Watts, Santa Ana, Oakland, Baldwin Hills, Pomona, South Chicago, Harlem, Philly, that's just scratching the service where these communities have voted Democrat down the middle and voted for the same policies that produced nothing for them and just keeps them with the same old policies in poverty.
Laguna
Had to boldface the above to emphasize the irony.

And you think Republicans in office will change that? Reagan ran the state for 8 years with Republicans in the White House, and did not improve things. Republicans governed the state while Reagan was in the White House. Problems still there. (It's clear your "friends" are far more astute than their would-be "instructor.")
People of color are WELL-represented IN the Democratic Party, with many serving in state and federal Congresses. When it came time for Asians to take the stage at the Republican convention for Trump, the best they could come up with was a Korean optometrist from Albuquerque.

Clinton is going to drown under the impact of her own criminality. 15,000 more previously disclosed emails being reviewed by the State Department. Even the Boston Globes and New York Times can't swallow her lies about the Clinton Foundation....She just can't catch a break.
After praising its (money laundering) relief operation in Haiti, the Globe then gets to the heart of its problem with the Clinton Foundation by remarking, “It[the Foundation] also provided posts or paychecks for some members of the Clinton political team, like Cheryl Mills, Douglas Band, and Huma Abedin and afforded the former president a platform and travel budget. Many of the Foundation’s donations come from overseas including from foreign governments with troubling human rights records.

Do not forget that Trump as was with Obama got to this point because he is "different" and "outspoken". If Obama was different because of color and idealism, Trump is different and not politically correct and definitely straightforward and outspoken about his ideas and feelings. But both got to the final nomination because of those two characters.
That is basically a personality and style a person possess. I would rather see his true and open personality now than after the election. Cruz, Ryan, Bush and others have shown their "colors" unlike what they initially indicated in their own political pursuits. We knew that Trump was a businessman that is open with his intentions, but we now know that all others are politicians that hide their true intentions.
At least Trump fights for and acts on what he believes in within the context of the information that is available to him at this time. Who knows how much information is being kept away from him by not only the Administration but by his own political party. That does not allow for really sound decision making.
