James Grubman should be ashamed of himself.

That is an insane amount of money. The important thing I think is to set yourself up with that sort of money, ie. invest, etc.

keep your head down and take at least six months before making any major decisions

Make copies of the ticket. Don't go to jail. Hire an attorney. Have a private car drive you about. Rent, don't buy. That's it.

Donate away! I can de-stress while helping needed causes.

Just the opposite of stress, I would transfer my stress to an army of stress relievers. Whichever way I decide to recieve the winnings, the stress would be on all the people who screwed me throughout my life. They would have the issue of looking over their shoulder every minute of each and every day for the rest of their lives. Lol

What a coincidence. I'm the biggest "no" person around. I only pay what I owe, and who I pay it to will only be the ones I intended to share the money with in the first place. If someone has to ask me for money, most likely I didn't intend to give them any in the first place. Even when I was in the "poor" tax bracket, people still wanted their hands in my wallet to get whatever they could. It would be the same should I have the fortune & misfortune of winning it myself.

Another odd thing is that so many states don't protect the privacy of winners. Which means one has to absolutely hire a lawyer first thing. I wouldn't mind my name being posted and the state I live in. But it appears that if one doesn't hire some legal protection, the crazy bastiches will give away the persons freakin' social security number, DoB, current address and phone # if they could. That's just stupid.

" will set huge expectations for the winner and everyone remotely in his or her social circle, experts said "

Don´t have to be an expert to predict that. Also, the "social circle" will miraculously expand endlessly to include all sorts dubious instant "friends".
