I did notice, and here I will prove just how out of touch with the goings-on in Latin America, that Chavez seemed to be supporting Colombia.
Chavez added that “if some European country starts to apply this and jails Colombians, Paraguayans, Bolivians, Ecuadoreans, then we’re going to make our own list of companies from that country that have investments in Venezuela.
Was it not just a few months ago that those two countries were at eachother's throats?
Anyone care to enlighten me as to why Chavez seems to like Colombia now?
Xennon, I'm guessing it's because there's been evidence found linking Chavez to FARC, and now he's trying to make nice.
Venezuela is running of out bullets. Foreign investment is already drying up. Pretty soon they won't have any investments to threaten to block since companies are voluntarily choosing to not invest in Venezeula.
And then after all the post and all the words of hatred are typed, we'll buy gasoline that came here from Venezuela. Even those folks who hate Chavez will buy Venezuelan gasoline tomorrow. < :-)
We could always spend the money on a huge Venezuela-bound sea cruiser rather than "concentration camps", and give the immigrants a decent send-off to this idiot's socialist paradise...
Chavez stops selling oil and his little socialist kingdom collapses.
Any country that bases a most on their country's income from natural resourses that stops selling it collapses. This is a given. But Chavez has more avenue to sell his oil then just the US.
There is China, India, Europe.... There are many places to sell his oil. It's not going to sit long. < :-)
