    Chavez said Micheletti should have been arrested in Costa Rica and that the United States should be putting more pressure on Honduras to return Zelaya to power.

    Chavez needs to stop sticking his fat little fingers in the politics of other Latin American countries. He has this ,"I want to be Simon Bolivar" mentality that is very dangerous to the free world.

    Chavez objected to the very idea of giving those who ousted President Manuel Zelaya the same treatment as the leader himself.

    This sentence needed some corrections, it should read;

    Chavez objected to the very idea of giving those who ousted his trained pet parrot the same treatment as the leader himself.

    So Chavez makes comments about what he thinks is so important and correct. About who he thinks should be doing this and doing that.

    So he talks. He's got a big mouth. < :-)

    Funny how these commie style dictators scream when taking power by a show of force is not shown by themselves but when it's done by themselves it's called a "revolution" and then they have power forever. Just look at their inspiration: Castro. And Chavez thinks this is "fair"? He's been smokin too much sugar cane.

    Who cares what Chavez thinks, anyway? He can't even stay in power in his own country without rigging elections and suppressing dissent, and the rest of the world is supposed to care what he thinks?

    I am no fan Zelaya nor Chavez, nor gringo intervention but it is interesting to see the anti Chavez posts here when this topic is about Honduras, not Venezuela, but I do agree that Fidel and his favorite "son" Hugo Chavez must be trying to do something in Tegucigalpa (the capitol of Honduras) but if we are so gullible as to think that the American CIA etc..are not doing covert operations all over the world (including Latin America) we better keep on smoking sugar cane, etc.. Bottom line let the Hondurans choose the leader for thier own country, Honduras and not dorks in Washington DC nor Caracas nor Habana.

    I am sure Hondurans/Honduras can eventually find a way out of these interim woes caused by their political leaders and military leaders.

    It's about Chavez and his mouthing his opinion. I guess you missed the part in the article though that said: [U.S. officials have promoted the talks in Costa Rica’s capital, hoping to ease Zelaya back into the presidency without violence while resolving the concerns of Honduras’ Supreme Court, Congress and military, which say they legally removed the president for violating the constitution by maneuvering to extend his time in power.] This shows you that the US position is that they support putting the power grabber back in. A guy who is trying to steal control of that country like Chavez did with his own.

    You are correct, no one should be intervening in the country of Honduras. BUt you are incorrect if you believe that the U.S. had anything to do with this.

    This all started with Zelaya trying to take a page from the Chavez play book.

    I am glad to see that you have taken note of the hand of Chavez in the politics of Honduras. He has been trying to make Latin America in his image.

    He is the menace here and the Honduran Congress acted to save their democracy from someone who wanted to be a dictator.

    Bushlover was correct when he said ,"Funny how these commie style dictators scream when taking power by a show of force is not shown by themselves but when it's done by themselves it's called a "revolution" and then they have power forever."

    The only difference is the Hondurans moved against Zelaya before he could move against their Constitution and that is why Chavez is upset.

    lol, always amusing to see Dictator for life Chavez upset. Really, its too bad that Bush allowed him to come back to power. Should have just pulled a Noriega on him. Latin America would have been much better of without him in it.
