I think a psychiatrist would be better suited for the explanation, not Chavez.

Chavez is too funny for words, unless you live in Venezuela...

Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer. You would think with the Haiti issue the Federal Reserve owners would back off on invading Venezuela. But since they have oil they will always be considered a target.

Chavez seeks improved relations with us? With who? You all have my sides splitting. Good comments.

You might think Chavez crazy for this, but...when you consider someone a threat, jabbing at them might be the natural thing for any gorilla, so I can't exactly call it crazy. Improving relations is a rational move. If crazy, then crazy like a fox.
In retrospect, Manuel Noriega and Saddam Hussein were not very good friends were they? But boy, they sure benefitted by friendship! Even Augusto Pinochet benefitted immensely through at least not being hostile.

re-socialized the Exito supermarket chain today. This is very similiar to what the Federal Reserve Obama does by buying GM, banks and other assets. -A true socialist that even Obama can be proud of.

I hope the US officials send the diplomat back saying that they don't want relations as they are still planning for the invasion of Venezuela. That should put some panic in ol Chav and having him shiit a brick for some time.

No mention of fiat currency? You're starting to slip....

based on the bolívar = not a true fiat currency. (same as if the U.S. Dollar was penny based) -they have notes also and inflation (of course). If true fiat the situation with the money traders would be worse.

I agree with Superlib, Chavez is a crank that should be in a straight-jacket and locked in a rubber room with his undies on his head. He shouldn't be running a country.

I thought his undies were....OMG, you mean that's his face?
The guy just has to play to the citizens. He'll blame the US for the "failed effort" as soon as it's convenient.

At this rate any movie Hollywood makes glorifying the buffoon Chavez will have to feature a female lead to really get into his character and properly play the part.
