Chavez is now a full fledged dictator no way around it. Really sad, we helped him take this kind of control when we attempted to oust in via a coup. He became a folk hero rather than the nut that he is.....

The best laid plans of mice and men.....Sad really Bush took his eye off of South and Central America and lost them all.

All to line the pockets of his donors.....Hope that our President can fix this mess soon.....Better to ally with this nut and control him than let him run free....

Again the far right is trying to erase 8 years of the Bush legacy. But no matter here is a happy happy time line to help our far right friends understand that they can not erase those horrible 8 years.

    1. 2002 a U.S. backed coup was attempted but failed when the military turned and joined Chavez.

    1. After the coup Chavez becomes a hero to the far left and Communist because the Bush admin could not overthrow him.

    1. After the coup Chavez started to fund left wing activities throughout Central and South America.

If Bush would have played this right Chavez would have been gone after his second term, but now thanks to him Chavez appears to be a dictator.

Bush took his eye off South America because he wanted to give Iraq to his friends. Now look where we are at.

We have a very well funded enemy to the South (no not Cuba) and much of South America under his influence/control.

Now our President must try to either make friend with Chavez or try to take some of his influence away.

Thanks to that 2002 coup attempt any time that something goes wrong Chavez can say it is an American ploy. Guess what, Venezuelans people will believe him.

Bush was President during 2002 and it was his mistake that kept this man in power.
