This ought to keep the old guy out of the way where he can do no more harm to America.

George Washington University Hospital. Hmmm, is that a public, socialist hospital? Is his medical care/insurance paid for by, ummmm, taxpayers--wouldn't that be socialist?
And he's old enough to be getting Medicare, you know, that socialist health care program.
Heh, Cheney is now a poster boy for Obama's health care reform.
The GOP didn't see this one coming. :-)

I read that 60 percent of US healthcare is already basically taxpayer-funded.Like the tax system it is far more 'progressive' than many realise, or want to look into.
He served his country,as Sec of War. He earned it.But I suspect with his business acumen he is covered by a private insurer. He and his wife donate millions to charity afterall...
A quick look at the hospital's homepage shows that foreign dignitaries choose the same facilities. Now, why would that be?
Even Cheney can't help Obama :)

Heh, with all cheney's family and buddies crowding into Washington University Hospital, I think we're about to see a GOP takeover of a healthcare system, ha ha, how ironic is that? :-)

Nope, and two minutes of a Google search would have saved you that wrong assumption.
Since July 1997, The George Washington University Hospital has been jointly owned and operated by a partnership between George Washington University and a subsidiary of Universal Health Services Inc. (UHS), a King of Prussia, PA-based company that is one of the nation's largest healthcare management companies. Under the terms of this partnership, named The District Hospital Partners, LP, UHS holds an 80 percent interest and the University holds a 20 percent interest.

It couldn't be Cheney's heart; he doesn't have one.

Reason No. 1 Why America Needs Universal Health Coverage: Former GOP Vice President Dick Cheney.
Who is sitting pretty taking advantage of his health insurance while 50 million-odd Americans have none.
lol! They must be high-fiving in the WH today. :-)

Sail, that's not the point. The 50 million-odd Americans who don't have health insurance IS the point.
But you already knew that. :-)

"Cheney has a history of heart problems, including four heart attacks starting at age 37."
The snake oil started kicking in early.....
Cheney a poster boy for Obama's healthcare reform drive.
Who'd ever have seen that one coming. :-)

While former GOP VP Dick Cheney embraces and is warmly coddled by the benefits of health insurance, his party continues to vehemently deny the same privilege to 50 million hard working Americans. Mr Cheney's cushioned stay in hospital could not have come at a better time for the Democrats. :-)

Mr Cheney's cushioned stay" Hey, that's right.... you know, when I was in the army, the lowest ranks ate first.... maybe no elected politician should get any health treatment until those 5 billion (it keeps going up so perhaps a tab bit of number fudging is ok) have their insurance.

Wouldn't it be admirable for Dick Cheney's party to start providing support for the Democrat's attempts at providing some half-decent health coverage for the families of all the brave US servicemen and women that Dick Cheney bundled off into 2 deadly warzones without so much as a wry smile of forethought?

When Karma REALLY comes for this guy he's going to be in a world of pain, so to speak. He better hope there's no hell.

Sarge: No he's not.
I'm afraid he is.

Does anyone even listen to you anymore? I know you're just joking, but seriously. If anything its just another reason why we shouldn't be destroying the best health care system in the world, in favor of some government controlled monstrosity. If we were living under that, Cheney would probably be dead. While that might make some of you sick people happy, the rest of us, know it could well be us.
Unfortunately, you know that Obama and the congress even after they pass the health care destruction act, won't have to live under it themselves. They and their families will be under quality care, unlike the rest of us who actually have to work for a living.

That's funny. The U.S. is one of the few developed countries left on Earth that doesn't have universal healthcare.
50 millon-odd Americans have no coverage whatsoever. And you're claiming it's 'the best health care system in the world'?
With a hole in the net that large, that's just laughable, as are these quips -
"some government controlled monstrosity," and "the health care destruction act."

Just think- where would the Obama administration be without Dick Cheneys ear around to bend ? Make no mistake, Cheney is still calling a lot of the shots- even from his bedside the dems are listening.

Branded - "even from his bedside the dems are listening."
Because there hasn't been anything worth listening to coming out of the GOP since January 2009.

Sushi,
that would be January 1959.

Thats right, no Universal health care, just the best health care. Instead of crappy health care for all, it has the best health care for most. Apparently you never took economics.
Just one more example of the hypocrisy of the left.

America's neighbour to the north has 'universal health care.'
But it looks like one of the foreign dignitaries at G Washington Hospital Cheney may well bump into is Newfoundland Premier Danny Williams, who will undergo heart surgery in America instead of his native Canada.
Why is that? Aren't ppl outraged by this?
