The Chinese "copy" everything. even fighter jets!
Wc626
Chinese made SKS are terrible compared to a real russian AK47. So based on that, the fighter jets are probably flawed too.
Even more reason to keep the security laws which so many japanese protested against.
wtfjapan
lol to have a fully functional aircraft carrier where everything operates as it should, and to have pilots/planes that can land and takeoff efficiently will be a lot more challenging than the chinese think. theyve got a long way to go to match Americas 10 operational carriers, 2 in reserve, 3 currently being built. Hell even India and Itay have more carriers than China
EyeOfTheCat
This is "Made in China" which means it will sink as soon as it leaves port.

Good luck China You're going to need it. You're little tin bucket is merely a waste of money and effort. It will be no match for modern ALLIED ships. China is bolstering and chest puffing to get respect from other countries, but actually making itself look more aggressive and foolish.
China will never be able to claim the China Sea for their own, soon their will be a confrontation between them and China will be back to Sabre Rattling.
I just wish the world would stop this aggression and work together....as a whole planet.

Oh lord yeah

A second carrier, huh! Does this mean that China will continue what it calls its so-called peaceful existence in local seas? Or is it planning something really sinister?

oh my gosh! the new year just begun and the PRC wants to act like dumb.
Wc626
LoL. Even dumber . . . And what are the SDF doing this time of year? Making snowmen?
itsonlyrocknroll
Failing to invest the time in research and development is a fools errand risking the lives of the aircrew.
Wc626
I can't imagine what a "General Quarters" drill would be like on that aircraft carrier. I tried to board a double-decker bus in Honk Kong once during rush hr. Getting off and on it was chaos.

It might not be much good and may even be dangerous for those working on it, but the unelected Chinese dictatorship do not care. They do not care if people die building it or working on it. They do not care about the lives of ordinary Chinese people and they are prepared to sacrifice millions of lives to keep themselves in power. Don't forget that these are the people who see mass murderer Mao as a hero, despite his killing tens of millions of Chinese. The lives of a few thousand sailors on a ship mean absolutely nothing to them.

Am not worried as it is obsolete before being built.
Wc626
Of course you're not worried. No japanese person is. The US-Japan Security Alliance provides all the "security" you people will ever need. When the japanese get their act together and change article #9- then (and only then) will you need worry.

A second Chinese junk carrier, oops, jump carrier. The first still can't handle planes. Is it a "porte-camions"?
serendipitous
So if countries in S.E.Asia start building aircraft carriers too, China won't complain? Talk about China continuing to up the ante.
A Realist
Aircraft carriers may already be obsolete so I am not sure what China is trying to accomplish. The usual showing off and bragging, I suppose.
Lost-in-Nagoya
I fear more ubiquitious and ever growing small Chinese business with long tentacles reaching far political Beijing than naval carriers.

Wc626, Japan has the third largest Navy in the world. We can take care of ourselves!
tinawatanabe
You USA is the biggest problem Japan has. It is obvious.
nath
Something is obvious, but it's not what you think.
Wc626
. . . But are the SDF making "snowmen" this time of year. Aren't they?
