Te Chinese start to be a little bit predictable with all those apologies stuff.
1/ Make a big fuss about a comment your don't like, put yourself in a victim situation and ask for an apology.
2/Claim that the apology was "not sincere" (why, we have never been able to know) as to keep the topic hot and continue to divert your people from internal problems.
Wonderful! It works for the Americans, the Japanese, the French, etc. Hope for them they never loose the control of the anger they create...
If the above statement is true, and it includes Americans of Chinese Ancestry then I think that the very question of their loyalty to the United States and our policy of speading democray over totalitarianism comes into question. This is a shame because there are a great many very
patriotic Chinese Americans who absolutely support the US and consider
PRC for what it is, our strategic and ideological enemy.
When WWII broke out, the Japanese Americans were put into internment camps despite US citizenship through birth and they proved their loyalty to the US beyond doubt. From the outset, those who were loyal to the Empire of Japan were sent to Japan. Do the majority of Chinese Americans today, especially the younger generation that doesn't know the atrocities of the CCP, when demonstrating in support of China realize exactly what they are doing?
I've read that this suit is being brought by 14 Chinese lawyers in a
Beijing Court on the basis of mental anguish suffered because of the
thugs & goons comment. If true, obviously nobody could care less about this issue.
It's not that the chinese can't accept critisism. We just cannot accepting widespread lies by certain media biased reports & distortions.
This is clearly creating misunderstandings & hatred towards the Chinese with media making unacceptable name calling on T.V.
Thus, we feel compelled to you the truth. Is there something wrong with peacefully doing so? Can't you accept that?
Instead of asking why we are against critism which is untrue, why don't you question as to why certain Western Media are slandering the Chinese with deliberate false information? Is it because China is becoming a threat?
Check out the video which will prove that you have been blinded by media's intention to mislead you & misunderstand the Chinese:

CNN making unacceptable name calling of the Chinese being 'Thugs & Goons' on television is an unethical & untrue.
It is understandable that we feel hurt by the deliberate lies. If someone lied about who or what you care about, wouldn't you want to correct it??

Just like the Americans that have misled people to believe that the war in Iraq is about a war against terrorism, when it is more a WAR FOR OIL.
It just goes to show how confident you can be with their media coverage.

I disagree. Most people don't have any animosity at all towards the Chinese. They are against the repressive Chinese dictatorship contrlled by then CCP. Furthermore ther behavior certaibly can be decribed as "thugs & goons".

Don't you think the Tibetans are hurt by the treatment at the hands of the Chinese govt and Han chinese "settlers"?
If a weak people were invaded and suffering wouldm't you want to corrct it? A great many people in this world feel this way.
"Instead of asking why we are against criticism that are untrue, why don't you question as to why certain Western Media are slandering the Chinese with deliberate false information? Is it because China is becoming a threat?"
Instead of repeating the Chinese govt party line, why don't you question
the rights opf all people in China, both Tibetans, Han Chinese and others? Why don't you question the Chinese govt's absurd false information slandering the Dalai Lama as being behind the violence?

Today there is no one in the US standing at the gas pump looking at $4.00
a gallon actually believing that Iraq was a war for oil. In fact some of us WISH it were.

When Chinese court accepts cases based on tortious conducts outside China (Cafferty’s alleged defamation?), US courts should also accept cases from outside the US. To be fair, Tibetans and others who have claims against Chinese entities should be able to file lawsuits in California using the CA long-arm statute. Unlike cases against Japan's wartime atrocities, I believe there is no SF treaty issue here.

Not only that, but any judgements found in favor of the Tibetan Plaintiffs can be secured by seizing Chinese assets in the United States. How much in T-bills was that again?
