    Perhaps instead of trying to prevent global warming, which still hasn't been proved, we should be trying to prevent earthquakes, which most definitely do happen.
    Nah, I'm afraid all we can do is deal with Mother Nature's tantrums. Can't stop 'em, that's for sure.

    I discuss with the Myanmar officials,and they have assured me that all international aid workers will be able to freely reach the needy people,

     We also hope Myanmar official will keep it's promise.

    Did you mean: "we should be trying to minimize the effects caused by an earthquake"? To prevent an earthquake is beyond my scope of understanding of human engineering.
