"Gaza violent"
It wouldn't be Gaza if it wasn't violent.

It wouldn't be violent without the Israeli's who are trying to ethnicly cleanse the area, and may i add use extreme violence at will.

But the population of Gaza has continuously increased since the establishment of the State of Israel. That's about the most incompetent "ethnic cleansing" I've ever seen.

Keep up the fight, militant Palestinians. It's been working out so well for you so far. Another couple more generations of young children being fed with rocket parts instead of medicine is bound to pay off at some point.
Oh, and Merry Christmas!

I can't believe that Hamas was as low as to fire rockets and mortors at religious celebrations. Sickening.
No excuses. < :-)

Wow. It must be pretty bad when even adaydream isn't making excuses for Islamic terrorism.

The problem is not with Hamas, the problem is with Israel's policies. Hamas is merely reacting to Israel's institutionalized racism.
*We will eat salt, but we will not bow our heads for anybody other than God, because we are faithful to the rights of our people and our nation. We will not betray it" *Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniya
Hamas is not asking no more or no less than to be treated as equal human beings with equal human rights as others. Israel does not want to give it to them, they would rather keep oppressing them. Hamas did not fire a single rocket during the seige and it was not first after people started starving to death and the conditions became so miserable that they did. They are demanding Israel to open up the seige which is against any humanitarian law.

You really should read some history about this conflict.
Moderator: Readers, once again we ask you not to get bogged down on historical issues. Please focus your comments on what is in the story and refrain from using inflammatory expressions, such as "ethnic cleansing" unless they are mentioned in the story.

So Hamas is kind of like a modern day Martin Luther King. Except for the terrorism and killin' and stuff.
Just utter nonsense. During the truce Israel opened up the border a few times to let supplies in. See how that works? Stop firing rockets....the borders start to open up. But for some inexplicable reason the militants decided to start lobbing rockets the day the truce ended and now there is no chance for any more border openings, just an offensive by Israel.
Yep, the militants sure played their cards right on this one. Those borders will be open any day now.

Hamas is an internationally recognized Islamic terrorist organization. Why would you treat them equally? Has the left gone so far that now terrorists must be treated equally?
Hamas is reacting to the tenets of the Koran and its call for Jihad against the Infidel. Israel is simply guilty of being an Infidel nation.
