It was classic watching Cheney nearly have a heart attack trying to avoid using the word 'torture' or define what it means. As for suggesting it was "worth it" for the 25% or more innocents who were wrongly imprisoned and tortured, I hope the man gets his.

Actually, when you take the spin out of it and really look at the video, he seemed very comfortable with it and as he said on every interview this last week. Had NO regrets and would do it all over again. I agree. As for getting his, he did get awhile back a new pacemaker. Good on him.

So, you think it's okay to be the exact same as the terrorists then. That's all you needed to say, bass. When 'protecting your way of life' means doing the exact same things and claiming it's 'for the better good', you are no better than that which you claim to be fighting against.

What does it say about Cheney and those who follow him when they claim they are trying to protect the American way of life against people who would target innocents and say they "have no regrets" and would "do it again in a heartbeat" in regards to torturing innocents and even allowing them to die? It's a rhetorical question, bass. They are NO different. They are terrorists themselves, bottom line.

Let's just take that argument and say, you are correct. I am fine with that version of terrorism that can keep Americans safe and God forbid we have another terror attack like the one we had on 9/11, I would want my president to do whatever he had to in order to get the information, I don't care how, just keep us safe and for me that's good enough and if you are in war, war is dirty, your enemy won't hold back and will do anything vicious in order to win, I want to win and that means, we have to be equally as dirty since the enemy won't let up. It's ugly I agree, but you don't bring a toothpick to a gun battle.

I would just like to say that bass4funk does not speak for all Americans when he says that torture is justified under any humane system of law. These failed states we are bombing don't meet the criteria for being called wars.

Republicans. The party of torture.™

Equally, and NOT all Americans believe to capitulate in the face of the enemy. There are Americans that believe in the freedom, safety for all Americans and that our government has a responsibility to bring any perpetrators that harm us to full justice.

Republicans. The party of torture.™

And add to that, getting results compared to the spineless party they call Democrats.
