The non-violent movement of Iran does not approve of clashes. We have stopped the mullahs to wipe out Iran successfully since 12th Feb 1979. They changed the name of Iran and our flag, but have failed in most other area. Our strategy like any other non-violent movement has been to create a massive unity of peace. All Iranians have participated to save Iran. We all share the same spirit. In Iran we have an ancient philosophy that teaches us this in a book called the Zend-Avesta. It has helped Iranians to keep their free will against violence for thousands of years. Recently we have had many who have used violence against the mullahs and have called themselves the opposition. The Greens are violent and put Islam before Iran. Iranians are Iranian First.

Celebrating their act of war against America. And they want the UN to allow them a nuclear project? Funny this is.

I'm not so concerned about Iran's declaration of being a "Nuclear State". I think that a lot of this rhetoric from Iran's leaders is just trying to take some of the attention away from Iran's internal problems. < :-)

"I'm not so concerned about Iran's declaration of being a "Nuclear State"."
Of course your not, head buried in the sand the way it is.
"I think that a lot of this rhetoric from Iran's leaders is just trying to take some of the attention away from Iran's internal problems."
Hmmm, now where have we seen this scenerio before ? ME leader, whips up a bunch of lies, distorts the truth, starts waving around claims of nuclear weapons capabilities ? Now where was that again ? Can't put my finger on it, but I somehow think things turned out pretty bad- no worries though, I'm sure the UN will get right on this.

Hmmm, I'm trying to think now. Oh yeah and come to find out, Saddam didn't have the nukes he professed. All bru-ha-ha. And stupid Americans attacked, wasted a $Trillion.
Want to attack Iran too I guess. < :-)

[Want to attack Iran too I guess. < :-)]
Well if you talk the talk I guess when it's that potentially serious maybe you should keep you mouth shut. Didn't we teach that to Saddam? But Iran won't learn. And neither will the "she'll be roight, mate." crowd.

bushlover, i bet those Iranians are hoping they can be liberated and have hundreds of thousands of deaths and become a haven for terrorists.

steve they are already a haven for terrorists. Some in their own 'government'.

This is Iran, not Iraq. They are completely different circumstances. This constant mindless comparison does nothing to contribute the discussion.

They are burning effigies of Obama.
So much for the meme that America's standing in the world was magically restored Jan 20 2009.

They are burning effigies of Obama" Why? What goal would that achieve?

It's a rallying thing. Iran has so many internal problems that they have their goons out there stirring the pot at Obama. Makes the leaders fee stronger, plus they see Obama a driving force towards more sanctions.
Iran kept the lid pretty much today, by what I've read and heard. The free speech protesters will be back tomorrow and Iran knows that. Listen to the calling atop the buildings. Sounds like a big party for those opf us who don't speak their language. < :-)

To even think about going to war with anybody is absolutely asinine. We've still got troops in Iraq, we're dug in Afghanistan, we've got $Trillions already in wars and somebody can speak of war.
Are you enlisting? Are you going to take up arms? You calling for a massive increase in taxes?
The ones who call for war; MMMMMM, the sweet song of the chickenhawk. < :-)

going to war is asinine" fine, but here's a question

The United States has fought two world wars against huge enemy war machines. And you're concerned about third-world nations like Afghanistan, Iraq, and Iran? These countries are not a serious threat...UNLESS THEY OBTAIN NUKES. That's the only thing that matters and why we need to take out Iran's nuclear facilities.

I think about all the people that would die, children that become orphaned, become displaced, material damage and the cost. Too many chickenhawks who have no idea what war is, except playing soldier in their own minds.
Sure we have fought many wars. Some could have been prevented though. One for sure was started for pure profits.
The next time we have a war anywhere, the leaders of the countries involved should be required to be the front men. They want a war, then they can fight. < :-)

I do too, which is exactly why Iran must never get nukes. The consequences you described would be a magnitude worse.
