"House Speaker Paul Ryan said the businessman’s assertion was the “textbook definition of a racist comment” but he would continue to support Trump."

The GOP. A truly tolerant party. They even tolerate racist comments.

a day after she secured the 2,383 delegates she needed to become first female presumptive nominee of a major political party, according to an Associated Press " on a day when NOBODY VOTED?

I'm not a Bernie supporters, BUT at this point, only the PLEDGED delegates, those distributed as a result of primaries and caucuses can actually be counted. The super delegates votes only come into play at the convention. After the primary results from today, then the results may actually declare a winner.

The GOP. A truly tolerant party. They even tolerate racist comments.

And likewise, the left embraces and tolerates political violence and hate crimes. We all saw it on TV . . . americans getting beat up on the streets, mexican flag wavers inciting riots, assaultin police and thrashing a police car.

It was a racist comment. I'll wear that shoe (along with Ryan, who has disavowed the comments himself) . . . . . but look, the judge will be biased because of Trump's stance on illegal immigration and all the ugly things he said about Mexicans. Get a different judge.

Who are 'the left' here? I haven't heard anyone here try to justify the violence at Trump rallies. Many posters here are also under the impression that Clinton and Sanders didn't denounce this violence. They did. Categorically.

You clearly have zero tolerance for violence at rallies. Me too. Do you have zero tolerance for racist comments? Ryan doesn't.

Congrats to the Democrats for nominating a woman, after nominating an African-American.

Look at the picture. All of the people surrounding Trump look like a bunch of inbreeders.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Obviously there was little incentive for Republicans to vote seeing as their nominee has already clinched, but still, the numbers tell a tale:

New Jersey: 542,656 for Clinton, 315,194 for Sanders, only 350,784 for Trump with no competition.

New Mexico: 109,468 for Clinton, 103,080 for Sanders, only 72,825 for Trump with no competition.

California: 1,104,197 for Clinton, 705,831 for Sanders, only 787,089 for Trump with no competition.

@Jimizo,

He said nothing racist. That`s the default setting these days, and more so if you are a white man. The judge is associated with hate groups.

@Superlib,

Wait! It`s good that people voted for Clinton and Obama because she is a woman and he is a black man? Oh my, such dumb reasons to vote for people.

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

The judge is associated with hate groups.

pointofview, would you care to back up your inflammatory statement with a scintilla of evidence?

4 ( +5 / -1 )

@laguna,

The information is available online. Avoid the MSNBC types and you`ll find it.

I don't like the whole super delegate system, let alone the whole election system.

The primary system is archaic and meant to provide an illusion of voting for a candidate and allow the party establishment to retain the power to determine its candidates. Still, Clinton has more pledged delegates (not counting super delegates) under the primary rules they are working under.

Sanders claims the super delegates taint the system (agreed), but then he says he should be the candidate because he has the best chance of beating Trumph. So, he decries the system, but then he thinks the system should ignore the popular vote and appoint him as the candidate.

He should just resign from the race, but he is probably holding on until he gets a promise for a cabinet position.

Lol. As if the Democratic Party was a tolerant bunch. Democrats: either you're with them or you're against them. Stick out, have an opinion, we will crush your head like a melon and find any dirt to destroy your life and make NO mistake, we will use race as a tool to achieve this goal!

Congrats to the Democrats for nominating a woman, after nominating an African-American.

That's because the Dems had No one else, Sanders wasn't going to make it. Bit of an oxymoron don't you think.....

@Laguna

Well, of course! You're looking at Blue States, come on now.....

A stolen nomination....Yep! The AP/Hillary story was written on June 4, published on June 6th, a day before the California primaries. Sure, "no collusion that I see" Hillary fans will say, so you might as well start washing and pressing those brown shirts now to get ready for the general election.

Now Trump has to win. Stop this psychopath.

Gee, I checked, and all I could find was an association of professional lawyers oriented towards Hispanics who profess no political views at all. In fact, their Website is here - in English! (If you need a Spanish translation, there's always Google.)http://sdlrla.com/

Interestingly, both US parties have non-.establishment candidates this time who try to shake up the rigged system. I hope one them wins.

Clinton declares victory in battle for Democratic presidential nomination

And she only had to screw over the poor, women, children and minorities to do it. . . .

When it comes to racism, liberals always get a pass, always!

"Hillary Clinton gave inequality speech in a $12,000 Armani jacket". Who's surprised?

Isn't the nomination supposed to go to the BEST person for the job? Some gloat first black, first woman.....so what! Most effective it's what's important regardless of race or gender!!!

What in the name of non-existent, non-partisan historians claiming the Bush presidency was a success are you ROFLing about now?

Cut the whatabouts out for once and tell us what you think of Paul Ryan sticking with Trump despite the 'textbook racism". You may not think Trump made racist comments but Ryan does.

Would you vote for someone you thought was guilty of textbook racism?

Save the BenghazicrazypcunicornverseROFLs this time.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Hillary Clinton gave inequality speech in a $12,000 Armani jacket"

That jacket was made for a tall, slim woman, not for someone with Mrs. Bill Clinton's body shape. She should stick to the Chairman Mao pantsuit look. If not, her handlers ought to seriously consider hiring Omar the Tent Maker to be her wardrobe consultant.

Anyway, the DNC-ISIS got their wish, kinda. Glad to see Sen. Sanders is still going to take the fight against Mrs. Clinton, causing her to continue making political stances that are more further to the left than her campaign playbook originally called for at this point in the election cycle.

The democrat clown car keeps on a rollin' . . . .

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

Cut the whatabouts out for once and tell us what you think of Paul Ryan sticking with Trump despite the 'textbook racism".

I think that 1)The GOP big dogs are looking out for their future and their local constituents and smart of them to donate if they wantt O continue their career in politics. 2) As I said before Trump has every right to scrutinize and question a judge that is a known Hillary supporter and a member of a racist group like La Raza.

You may not think Trump made racist comments but Ryan does.

Making racist statements doesn't necessarily make a person a racist.

Would you vote for someone you thought was guilty of textbook racism?

If I knew without a doubt and undeniable hard, backed up proof that the person was a raging racist like the WIlson, FDR or Johnson, or like a lot of liberals. No, I wouldn't.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

The primaries are still on and there are no winners yet, never mind what America' rotten corporate media tells you.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Heh, this article is about the driver of the democrat clown car, Mrs. Bill Clinton, but the accompanying photo is of Mr. Trump.

The guy owns the political news cycle again. . . .

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

I'm sure Hillary will put the good of the Democratic Party and the country ahead of herself at the convention and throw her support to the candidate who can beat Trump without question - Bernie Sanders.

Otherwise, Ivanka Trump may become the first female president after a term or two terms of Donald.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

From Dave Lindorff:

Reading the papers and listening to the radio about the Democratic primary race, which is reaching its climax tomorrow in California, New Jersey, Montana, New Mexico and South Dakota, I’m having a powerful sense of deja vu harking back to my years living and working as a journalist in China in the 1990s.

The news reports all feel like the regurgitation of a party line:

And there you have it. California, the largest state in the nation, with nine percent of the nation’s population and a demographic that closely mirrors the nation’s could vote to reject the Democratic Party’s “presumptive” nominee on Tuesday, perhaps bringing Bernie Sanders to within less than 200 votes of Hillary Clinton’s total of pledged delegates, but because of the 400 super delegates who said way back before the first primary vote was cast that they would back Clinton — all of them unelected, and many actually lobbyists who have their delegate positions because they bought them — and a hundred more, most of whom were bought by the Clinton campaign, Hillary Clinton according to this party-line corporate media, will still become the party’s nominee for president.

And this is supposed to be a democratic process in a democratic country!

What a sad joke.

Fortunately, millions of Americans aren’t buying it.

Unfortunately, many on here are.

@Laguna,

http://www.breitbart.com/2016-presidential-race/2016/06/07/report-trump-university-judge-linked-group-calls-boycott-trumps-businesses/

Just remember Laguna, if this was something that Trump was associated with it would be front page news and he`d be getting slagged off.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

pointofview, your article - and coming from Brieibert, this is probably the sharpest pencil you have in your case - notes that the judge is a member of an association which is "affiliated" (zero info on how) with another association which allegedly called for a boycott of Trump businesses.

Ever seen "Ocean's Eleven"? - "I know this guy." You've got nada there, amigo.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Now, now, SuperLib - Bass does have a point. Who amongst us have never let a racist comment slip from our lips?

On the other hand, threatening a Federal judge on the basis of race - that is, holding that a person is unfit for their job solely due to their race - is, as the third-highest political figure in America noted, the "textbook definition" of racism.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

It is not over yet. After Sanders fired a majority people who worked for his campaign, he announced he will have Contested convention and he will fight until he get nominated because he is the only person who will win against Trump.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

@laguna and pointofview

Just to clarify, there is some allegation that the hispanic judge that Trump talks about belongs to a hate group.

Well, that is a real stretch. He did some work for an NGO with the words LA RAZA in it. If you grew up in the southwestern US, you kind of figure out that LA RAZA this and LA RAZA that is a somewhat emotionally charged reference to hispanic people. In my experience it is kind of a push back term. In times of hispanic pride or when the community is threatened, or when there is an appeal to be made, the term gets bandied about, or associated with movements.

You can quibble about whether this is the equivalent of a neighborhood association or a church organization, but it is not like the Klan or the Black Panthers.

There is no reason to think that a federal judge would be biased racially, and many people think that the accusation is repugnant on its face.

And congratulations to Hillary.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

, holding that a person is unfit for their job solely due to their race - is, as the third-highest political figure in America noted, the "textbook definition" of racism.

Bingo.

Funny, ain't it. I remember when white supremacists were proud to be racists. Now, since Americans understand white supremacy ugly and deeply un-American, they have to pretend they aren't racist.

Even when sputtering, as The Boys says, the textbook definition of racism.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

The judge for the Trump case is unfit for many reason and he needs to step down. He is pro open borders and gives out college scholarships (a nice gesture) to illegals. He belongs to "La Raza" which is a known hate group and against the USA and its' citizens. Furthermore he is not judging the case properly and if it continues the case may just become public like the OJ case. On top of that you have the "Clinton University" case that is about 100x larger than the Trump U case.

We shall see if the US citizen accepts the known and open liar, and general all-around filthy criminal Hillary Clinton as President of the USA

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

@Aly:the womanonhisleft back is one of Trump's older daughter. The young girl next to his right side is Trump's latest young wife. Who became very young step mother of his much older children. Her children are business executives. His wife was 28 yrs old when Trump introduced her to his grown up much older children.
