    "Clinton lobbies the super-delegates"

    and

"Reid, Pelosi, Dean may intervene in nomination"

"Reid said he would consider writing a joint letter with Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) demanding that superdelegates make their endorsements public.

“The three of us, we may write a joint letter [to superdelegates],” said Reid. “We might do individual letters. We are in contact with each other.”

"Reid's comments suggest that the party’s top three officials are contemplating a high-level intervention if the primary season concludes in June without a nominee and many superdelegates still undecided."

Amazing. They have a central planning committee that is basically going to decide who gets the nomination.

    "Selected, not elected"

    Welcome to the party.

We're all lawyers by the way.

So sit down over there with the little people.

And don't you dare call us 'elitist.'

"why doesn't this lady just get out? I don't understand why she continues to bring everything down.."

She and her husband - the only post WW2 Democrat prez elected to two terms, but during the little "Holiday From History" between the end of the Soviet empire and 9-11 - do not believe that Obama can win the general.

redacted - mate, you are the epitomy of desperation.

You are almost obsessed with Hillary & Obama.

Just get used to it - Obama is going to be your next President.

Obama is going to be your next President." out of the three, I like O the best, but still I would like to see someone else jump into the election later, but I don't think that is allowed.

The 2008 democratic party nomination process is a train wreck waiting to happen. First, they structured all their primaries to award delegates on a proportional basis, rather than winner-take-all, thus guaranteeing there would be no clear winner.

They compounded that problem by punishing two of the most important democratic states, Michigan and Florida, by stripping them of their delegates for exercising their right to run their primaries when they damn well pleased.

The lack of a clear winner in the count of popularly elected delegate count means the decision will fall to the appointed super delegates, which are inherently anti-democratic.

This is a total mess that will ruin any chance for the jackass party to win the White House.

It couldn't happen to nicer bunch of idiots.

"why doesn't this lady just get out? I don't understand why she continues to bring everything down."

Skip, how many states has barack won that are predicted to go to a democrat in the general election? Come convention time the undeclared Supers will see that the empty suit has more delegates but they are the Red states while hillary has a hold on the delegate-rich Blue states.

I'd like to see hillary win the nomination. The division that will create with the democrats/black voters will last for at least a decade.

Can the Dems' openly partisan allies in the media make it til June 3?

Keith Olberman looks like his head is about to explode;or maybe that's just how he always looks. I've really only watched "Special Commentary" and "Worst Person in the World" - nice Stalinist ring to both of those - since this Hillary vs Obama Identity Politics Super Cage Fight to the Death thing started to shape up a few weeks back.

Remember Air America? They were supposed to be the liberal voice that would blow El Rushbo out of the water.

    What happened?

Why did AA host Randi Rhodes call Hillary Clinton "a big [effing] whore" ?

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/4/3/92843/19398/790/489406 "Wow!! Randi Rhodes worse than Rush + Coulter"

They know there is a grave crisis, threatening the party's very existence, but unlike all the other failures the Dems are responsible for and the 20 percent approval rating the Dem-majority Congress has they can't blame this on Republicans/Karl Rove/the "corporate-controlled media."

This sooper delegate meltdown/blowup is entirely their own making.

btw - The mancrush certain foreign observers3 of our Great Experiment have on Obama is embarrassing. How obsessed with US politics can non-Americans get?

Is MSNBC Chris Matthews broadcast here in Japan? - -

"The feeling most people get when they hear a Barack Obama speech, I mean, I get, I felt this thrill go up my leg. I mean, I don't have that too often."
