She has a long difficult road ahead. With many US voters they will vote because she is a woman. Many more will vote for name recognition. She has a way of saying some of the wrong silly comments especially under pressure. Unfortunately much of the voting public is very uninformed and she may have a chance. 68 years old will proove a liability. And the mainstream media will kiss her arse to no end. Unfortunately they have a powerful manipulative power over the majority of the lesser informed public.

For me, I stand with Rand. Progressive in a logical way and conservative to save the nation from the Greece/Spain financial crisis's. I know would be quite unpopular here on this site but the expats really have minimal opinion in my view, they choose to leave the U.S. for convenience.

If the election were held today, she's clean up. But the election is a ways away.

I think you need to read most of the polls closely. If she ran today, she would get pummeled.

I stand with Rand.

Of the Republicans I've seen, he seems the best to me. I've watched a few interviews with him, and while I don't agree with a lot of what he says, I do agree with a lot of other stuff he says. If a Republican is to get into the white house, at this point, I hope it's him.

I think you need to read most of the polls closely. If she ran today, she would get pummeled.

It depends on whether you are reading real polls, or the faux-polls.

It's her time ! "Madame President". Get used to it, folks !

If she ran today, she would get pummeled.

A slight preference for Paul over Clinton in Colorado and Iowa hardly qualifies as a nationwide pummeling.

You've got nothing to worry about as a rich man. Hilary is even more of a corporate stooge than Obama. Your tax rates will be just fine if she wins. You do seem to worry unduly. Is it concern for the less well-off? Very socialistic of you.

In my circle, nobody wants another Clinton or Bush in the WH. Stop running off the success of your relatives and family name. Make your own name for yourself and then we might think about voting for 'em.

Obviously the biased MSM is trying to groom the public into who they think we want to vote for. Hmph.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

She's going to have to earn my vote. I'm guessing there is a dark horse in the Democratic Party that will emerge and give her a run for her money. I like Warren but I like her as a Congresswoman and don't know much about her as President.

Strangerland: Of the Republicans I've seen, he seems the best to me. I've watched a few interviews with him, and while I don't agree with a lot of what he says, I do agree with a lot of other stuff he says. If a Republican is to get into the white house, at this point, I hope it's him.

Bill Maher said that Rand will say 2 or 3 things you strongly agree with, then he will throw in another that makes him sound crazy. That summed it up for me.

Bill Maher said that Rand will say 2 or 3 things you strongly agree with, then he will throw in another that makes him sound crazy. That summed it up for me.

Haha, it's true! But still, he's not as messed up as the other Republican candidates, and I could see him being better than some of the democratic ones, depending on who turns out.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

"Rand will say 2 or 3 things you strongly agree with...."

Nah....

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Oh, the wise Bill Maher......a evil clown if you ask me. Rude, crude and full of crap.

Hillary won't hold up in sharp debates. She hasn't got it. And she has lots of target issues to be cut to pieces if an opponent choses to use against her.

The dems need a couple other potentials. Republicans are shaping up with a possible selection of worthy opponents. Dr. Ben Carson as vice would fit nicely. Remember VP's are only a heartbeat away. Very important on selection there. The dems seem all in with Hillary. An effective plan 'B' isn't a bad idea. Not much activity seen publicly there.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

'Hillary won't hold up in sharp debates. She hasn't got it.'

That didn't stop Bush winning. I've yet to hear even the staunchest Bush supporter say he was good in debates or good with words ( his grammar was appalling ). Then again, Bass is posting here and he could be the first.

'Dr. Ben Carson as vice would fit nicely'

A bible-bashing, gay-bashing, evolution-denying doctor would fit nicely for a party still in the jaws of bigoted, evangelical crackpots. He should be entertaining the neanderthals at mega churches, not running for Vice President. The Republicans need to distance themselves from this kind of stupidity if they want to be taken seriously.

Clinton VS Paul? Clinton needs to clear e-mail secret story very soon. Her people must be glad there will be plenty days until election so people will forget e-mail story then, That middle east story, people are not mentioning now,

If GOP choose Cruz ir will be disaster for GOP hope for Pres.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Toshiko, it has only started. Seems Jeb Bush is a hopeful and Rubio. It's all about ca-ching$$$. Who can raise the most fares the best chance. And that's sad! Hillary can raise a boatload. Cruz, Paul, Carson, Trump (rumored), and Walker can't match her unjustified popularity. Bush may raise a bundle and Rubio less.

Money buys the election result! Completely wrong but true lately.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

"Money buys the election result! Completely wrong but true lately."

-the business of America is "business." All hail the almighty dollar. But in the end, its voting for the lesser of 2 evils.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

America's only hope right now.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

@igloobuyer. Yeah, if she can git past Iowa. There 49 more.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I personally think a potentially HUGE problem for Hillary Clinton is her age--she will turn 69 less than a month before Election Day 2016. In sharp contrast, her most likely Republican opponents-- most likely either Ted Cruz, Scott Walker or Rand Paul--will be around 45 and 53 years old on Election Day 2016.

Hillary Clinton should have been a shoo-in back in 2008, but her campaign couldn't deal with Barack Obama--especially since he was much younger and ran a masterful campaign that took full advantage of then-emerging technology of social media on cellphones.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

@chuang. J McCain was so old when he ran. McCain is so old, he remembers when the "Dead Sea" was sick.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Clinton has often touted the use of data in her decision-making. She will promote an evidence-based approach to governing.

I wonder if this includes her email servers -which she wiped clean.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Superlib

She's gonna have to win your vote? In the general? Or the primary?

Because, I'll tell you, if eight years of Bush taught us Americans one thing, Iis this ( and you know what I'm going to say):

Any Democrat is better then a Republican.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Well, both...heh. I really have no problem not voting for Hillary if someone else is a better alternative.

The Republicans will probably find some kind of moderate to throw into the race, something that I'll research and probably be interested in. But as the process moves on I'm sure that same person will move from the center right to the far right and lose all credibility.

What I was hoping for, and it looks like Christmas came early for me, was to see a full slate of right-wing loonies entering the race. I want the US to see the true face of the Republican Party in a long, slow, dragged out process. Most of them will deny climate change (or even evolution for that matter), most will support the new "Religious Freedom" scam going on, most will invoke God to the point of making a mockery of the separation of Church and State, some will have hardline positions against homosexuality/gay marriage, abortion, etc. It's going to be good entertainment as they market this dinosaur product to undecided voters.

@MarkG: If a GOP hopeful receives, $$$ from Sand owner, he will not win, we have rumor here but all candidates have been busy visiting Nevada. For Dem side, Clinton is shooin again in NV. Here marriage is not in politics talk. Just marriage business owners earn money. Neither religeon, Many people are moslim but they don't practice religeon too well. So are others. Hilary will receive $$$ here from both side.

If you think that Hilary is a shoe-in, you have got to be on some serious reefer. Hilary will NO doubt get the Democratic nomination, but that's it. Not even close to having a celebration. She has a lot of baggage on her plate this time and the big problem for her are the swing voters.

A slight preference for Paul over Clinton in Colorado and Iowa hardly qualifies as a nationwide pummeling.

Bill Maher said that Rand will say 2 or 3 things you strongly agree with, then he will throw in another that makes him sound crazy. That summed it up for me.

Once you mentioned Maher, all sanity of ANY conversation was over. That's like taking Noam Chomsky serious!

Haha, it's true! But still, he's not as messed up as the other Republican candidates, and I could see him being better than some of the democratic ones, depending on who turns out.

I like Maher right where he's at, in the corner pocket ratings of HBO.

That didn't stop Bush winning. I've yet to hear even the staunchest Bush supporter say he was good in debates or good with words ( his grammar was appalling ). Then again, Bass is posting here and he could be the first.

Try again, it takes one to know one.

'Dr. Ben Carson as vice would fit nicely'

A bible-bashing, gay-bashing, evolution-denying doctor would fit nicely for a party still in the jaws of bigoted, evangelical crackpots.

as opposed to a bullying Atheist?

He should be entertaining the neanderthals at mega churches, not running for Vice President. The Republicans need to distance themselves from this kind of stupidity if they want to be taken seriously.

But being a money-snatching, vegan socialist is something to be proud about???? Come on now.....

Any Democrat is better then a Republican.

At this point, if ANY Democrat would get elected to anything after Obama it would be more than a miracle. Again, Hilary is NOT a shoe-in, NO guarantee and THE ONLY possible Democrat nominee, that's it. Damaged and with a growing segment of Independents NOT trusting her, good luck with that. Now I will say this, after covering 3 presidential elections myself and from historical facts, I will say this, if Obama numbers fall and stay below 40% you will have a Republican president, without a doubt, case closed. If he leaves with 50% and up, Hilary will be in the White House. That's No spin and that's not being partisan. Just the facts.

What I was hoping for, and it looks like Christmas came early for me, was to see a full slate of right-wing loonies entering the race.

I love when Dems start to worry.

I want the US to see the true face of the Republican Party in a long, slow, dragged out process.

I will say this, the way the country is right now as it stands, the anger that the growing masses are feeling towards Obama and the Democratic party is showing the REAL true face of what they don't like about even contemplating of a Hilary presidency and to be truly fair, the people are getting tired of BOTH parties, let me say this again, BOTH parties. So please don't make it like the Dems are the savior of humanity, because if that were true, Hilary would have soaring numbers as would Obama in EVERY category.

Most of them will deny climate change (or even evolution for that matter),

Which is Ok, and the majority of Americans don't think that is a priority.

most will support the new "Religious Freedom" scam going on, most will invoke God to the point of making a mockery of the separation of Church and State,

invoking God is NOT a problem with the overwhelming majority of Americans as long as don't rule by religion and honor the separation of Church and State. No one has governed on the basis of religion.

some will have hardline positions against homosexuality/gay marriage, abortion, etc. It's going to be good entertainment as they market this dinosaur product to undecided voters.

Well, Obama was also against gay marriage, strongly against it and was advised by Axelrod to change his position on the issue if he wanted to get elected and there are many liberals that feel the same, libs are not a monolithic group and please don't start the abortion issue, most conservatives talk about Full-term abortions, NOT all abortions. These are tired issues that the public really doesn't care about. But I am glad you pointed these out, it shows once again that, the economy and high paying jobs and debt control are the least and furthest thing from the minds of libs.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

What is she going to propose? Stimulus? Increasing the money supply? Increased welfare and unemployment benefits? How about empowering unions and punishing corporations? Been there, doing that? Continue trying to convince middle class voters the Clintons are not truly wealthy ? This should be interesting.

I have no idea if the democrats will win or not in the next election, but if they do, I'm literally going to laugh out loud at the ulcer it's going to cause Bass.

It's funny how you think this is all a game, but I am happy if you feel elated. You are not serious and since it's not your country, why on Earth would you care? For me, I just care about the status of the country, that's it! I don't care who gets the job if they are qualified and as I said, I am not a partisan, I have no love for either parities, liberals less so, however putting Hilary at the helm, when you already have trust issues going on with this woman NOW, what do you think can happen when she is possibly elected as president. The country can't afford another experiment, that goes for Hilary or even a Rand Paul, like the guy, but when it comes to foreign policy......

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

@Wc626, a huge problem with McCain in 2008 was that he didn't excite the Republican voter base in 2008--the Republican voter base thought he was a bit too far politically Left.

But Ted Cruz is different--confidently Conservative, a flat-out superb public speaker (the speech he gave at the NRA convention just recently was done essentially from memory), and importantly, a young and vibrant person that creates the type of excitement among the Republican voter base like what Barack Obama did to the Democratic voter base in 2008. And he has the education credentials that is the envy of the Left: high praise from the professors at Harvard Law School (where Cruz was a law student there), one of the most prestigious college law schools in the world.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Ted Cruz is an Ivy League champion debater and undeniably brilliant guy with one of the most impressive resumes ever....that hopefully isn't going to be an issue. He is still going to be accused of being "tightly wound" and catering to an "ignorant" crowd liberals wouldn't want to have anything to do with.

Come on Bass, your grammar isn't the best but it's not Bush level. I can understand what you mean about 90% of the time.

By the way, who are these 'bullying atheists' or 'money-snatching vegan socialists' running for office?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Come on Bass, your grammar isn't the best but it's not Bush level.

That goes the same for most of you guys as well, but that's really not the issue, if grammar is for you more important to point out, than the decline of the U.S. and the political climate, then you have to reevaluate your priorities. For me, the plight of the country is more important.

I can understand what you mean about 90% of the time.

I wish I could say the same about the liberal think process.

By the way, who are these 'bullying atheists' or 'money-snatching vegan socialists' running for office?

Progressive liberals

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

For me, the plight of the country is more important.

If that were true, you'd love Obama for the excellent job he's done for the country.

Clinton to launch White House bid on Sunday

Let the Liberal bloodbath begin.....All other DNC hopefuls will be sharping their knives and taking aim at Hillary. Too bad for her she has a whole lot of baggage!

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Who are the Koch Brothers trying to fund ?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

If that were true, you'd love Obama for the excellent job he's done for the country.

Actually, I was referring to someone that can get us out of the ****hole this Charlatan put us in.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Hilary needs to select VP candidate who can complement her past goofing such as Middle East and e-mail stories. She should stays away from Obama groups if she wanted to have clear winning on Primary. As for GOP side, Paul and Bush will have to fight each other. Again they need to have acceptable VP candidate who can guarantee $$$ donations and sure to upset DEM dominated states. Clinton waited enough time to let e-mail story simmered down. But both Bushand Paul do have such baggages and we all know they are natural born citizens. Both of them were not born in Canada.
