And in other news, the price of oil just went down due to the US being sole trader with Yemen.

I thought it was the U.S. that poses the global risk.

Hehehohohaha
Sarge are you having another bout of 'poor me'.
Don't worry, when you grow up you will understand that to be a world power is to invite criticism, some fair, some not fair. It could be worse, you could be living in Canada or Finland or some other nation of small stature.
And I will tell you something else, many of us who criticize America also appreciate the positives America has done. Take for instance the freedom of expression and thought. To stand up and say "I do not agree" is to support one of the most important ideals that made America great.
So you do not have to feel bad and kick yourself when there is no one around to do it for you. America is important and many, many people care what happens to America especially the critics.
You're welcome. No charge.

Oh my. This is distressing. Not exactly change my colleagues and I can believe in. It's as if something has radicalized Americans even more these last few months, though I am at a complete loss as to what that something could be.

By the same logic that the Obama administration defends their futile presence in Afghanistan ("preventing a failed state" and "fighting Al Quaeda"), they should also send troops to Yemen, and Somalia for that matter.
But of course they can´t do that, so they feed us this stupid hot air.

"To stand up and say "I do not agree" is to support one of the most important ideals that made America great."
Americans can stand up as much as they want, their government won't listen to them. And even if the guys in the white house PRETEND to listen, they simply continue their practice under the table. As they also did outside of America. A sneaky government. A sneaky way to make the country look "great".
Sarge, I totally agree with you. It's the US of A that caused the situation we're in now. I say it again, America mind your own business!!! And don't ask other countries to beef up security at THEIR airports only to protect YOUR soil.

"It's the US of A that caused the situation we're in now"
LOL! Without the US of A leading the fight against these wackos, the world would be a hell of a lot worse than it is.
"America mind your own business!!!"
What!!! And allow the world to descend into utter hell?

"By the same logic that the Obama administration defends their futile presence in Afghanistan..."
Winner of the day for the outrageous denial award.
Quick question... ummm... why is the US there? Another quicky..... who put them there? One more just for fun... if you think it's really so futile, do you agree they should get out?
No need to answer these rhetorical questions, WilliB. We know you won't anyway -- err... at least you won't honestly.

sarge: "Without the US of A leading the fight against these wackos, the world would be a hell of a lot worse than it is."
The US is leading the inevitable increase in these whackos, nothing more. You are helping assure that by alienating yourself. Or wait... how bad was the Yemeni threat 9 years ago... you know... as a random number...as opposed to now?

"I guess you never fly in airplanes or go to any crowded public places or have any family or friends like the rest of do."
Wrong! I fly frequently, am in crowded places WITH friends and sometimes family and I tell you there is a difference with the situation of let's say 9 years ago (thank you Smith). Who caused that change??!! Who's fault is it that innocent people around the world nowadays feel unsafe when they travel or visit crowded public places? A nation that always thinks it's justified to come to a "party" uninvited!!!

It is good to know that Secretary Clinton finally realizes what every other human being outside of the Obama Adminisration is already fully aware of.

And while Clinton acknowledges that Yemen, one of leading hotbeds of jihadism, is a threat, her state dept. just decided to issue additional "diversity visas" to get more Yemeni immigrants into the US:

And of course nobody will ask them about their religious convictions.
Way to address the jihad, Mrs. Clinton! Get more potential jihadis into the country...
