Well, I loved Superman when I was a kid growing up in Kingston, even though there was the stuff about he fought for the American Way.

I read about this earlier. The reason it went for so much is that it hasn't been touched up.
I have a few comics that are vacuum sealed and stored away (X-Men #1 ~ 100, Death of Superman, Wolverine #1, the entire "Breaking of the Bat" arch and a 1950s Sgt. Rock). They will never be worth anything in my lifetime however, my kids will inherit them and hopefully, they will be able to get some money for them.
