And now revenge has escalated beyond theft, assault and property destruction. Now cold blooded murder. Way to go Race Hustlers! Sharpton, Farrakhan and the like must fell victorious.

Zeidman argues that any strategy that unnecessarily increases contact between police and civilians is a threat to community relations.

Fool. I suppose Zeidman misses the good old days in the 70's, when 42nd street was nothing but porno theaters and peep shows, and when going out after dark was dangerous. Central Park at night was no-man's-land, and subway muggings were so commonplace that people didn't even turn their heads when they occurred. Harlem was a wasteland of broken windows and burned out cars, and a place people simply didn't go to, unless they were unfortunate enough to live there.

I daresay community relations have improved greatly as laws have been enforced, and the community has become safer.

I don't agree with all their tactics but it's good to see crime levels dropping.
