"At a stop in Monday in Marion, Indiana, Trump supporters confronted Cruz."

“Lyin’ Ted!” yelled one, using Trump’s pet name for his rival." - article

Senator Ted Cruz fell for the bait and the obstructionists steam rolled him. The single worst decision of his campaign. NEVER talk to a racist.

The single worst decision of his campaign.

I'd like to think the single worst decision was that he ran.

There aree Trump haters here I wonder whether they love Cruz's habitual ,ies or supporting Clinton of if he is not eligible f O vote and just nealous for Trump. Who get new girl friend all the time.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Cruz is a conservative extremist. He owes favors to his super PAC contributers. Has few friends and many enemies in government. Has made an awful choice of VP. Has connived his way to electoral wins. Has lied his way through his Iowa win. In short, I neither like the guy nor trust him.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Lots of hate, lies and exaggerations from the left. Sure am glad I'm on the right. Trump has supporters across the spectrum. I can't believe they are all racists. I don't believe even 10% are racist. I can't say that about the left.

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

Trump love the guy....Clinton jail time ha ha

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

“Indiana is very important, because if I win that’s the end of it,” Trump said

Clearly it isn't over. Two words for the bigot billionaire, Paul Ryan. Bye bye bigots bye bye.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

@crazyjoe: What do you think how Cruz will handle Kasich?

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

kc, can you substantiate the billionaire bigot claim? And the other bigots you accuse of beeing so. Otherwise your insults are simply hate driven.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

can you substantiate the billionaire bigot claim

Buy a television.

Trump's best friend David Duke, Holocaust Denier. That's substantiation enough for millions of Jewish voters in the States.

When Trump pretended to not know who the Grand Wizard of the KKK was millions of black voters knew Trump would welcome the white supremists who attacked Senator Cruz's speeh at Indiana on Monday.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

I prefer Trump to Ted. He is a billionaire but so what. At least he is not a Canadian.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

He he he.

Trump is likely to finish Calgary Cruz off tonight. So why am I laughing?

Because next on Trump's list of destruction is the Republican party itself.

"You managed to prove nothing " - comments

Donald J. Trump has proved the truth of the charges against him. Proving a racist a racist to a racist if a fool's errand. Wasting time on bigots, as Senator Cruz did on Monday proves the same result every time. Bigots hate not for reason but for no reason becaus ethey are incapable of reason. They are a danger to any Democracy.

But, let the readers decide for themselves. Those unable to reason could have someone read the following for them.

"Of course it is Trump who has let loose the wave of fear rippling out from the campaign. And it is Trump who has singled out African-Americans peacefully attending his speeches for mistreatment, and Trump who has glorified sucker-punching attacks on non-violent protesters."

"He is spreading poisons throughout the system that could linger beyond his defeat. Anybody who cares about the health of American democracy should hope for its end as swiftly as possible."

If Cruz can keep Carly Fiorina from falling off the stage -he may be able to beat the slob Kasich. Seems to me Trump has Indiana locked up.

Donald J. Trump has alienated the majority of voters in the States who see his campaign as un-American and his fans as dangerously unstable. (One was arrested this week in Oregon after repeated threats on President Obama's life and possing multiple pipe bombs and assualt weapons.)

Others have insisted Trump is just "telling it like it is".

Trump's own words prove otherwise.

Trump's documented and often repeated threats tell a very different story.

"(GOP/Tea) Party leaders are appalled at the real estate developer and reality TV personality's incendiary rhetoric and believe his policy positions are out of step with core Republican sentiment, such as his vow to deport 11 million illegal immigrants, temporarily ban Muslims from the United States and build a wall along the border with Mexico."

Senator Ted Cruz fell for the bait and the obstructionists steam rolled him. The single worst decision of his campaign. NEVER talk to a racist.

You can't prove Trump is a racist, but you can prove that Cruz is a sneaky politician, even sneakier than Clinton.

Trump's best friend David Duke, Holocaust Denier. That's substantiation enough for millions of Jewish voters in the States.

So where did Trump say, he supports and embraces Duke's endorsement. Remember, Duke endorsed McCain and Romney as well, were they racist?

When Trump pretended to not know who the Grand Wizard of the KKK was millions of black voters knew Trump would welcome the white supremacists who attacked Senator Cruz's speeh at Indiana on Monday.

Oh, please. Clinton couldn't remember what happened to her server, the woman flipped and flopped about being under fire in Bosnia, back tracks her words, called out gangs as thugs and is now on the side of BLM. Even Blacks can see right through Clinton for what she really is.

Cruz can do whatever he wants, but it looks from this point, over.

Yesterday one channel (we have about 200 news channels ) televised Carly bad mouthed about Cru last year.

Trump will win Indiana for GOP. Trump hater's opinions on JT are ignored?

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

The problem with Trump supporters?

They when angry when they find out most Americans aren't as stupid as themselves.

Trump has successfully alienated Jewish voters when he refused to catagorically condemn David Duke. Trump refused three times on live television.

Black voters know that association defines Trump.

Mexican Americans have a worst impression as Trump called their countrymen rapists.

Women have long since been offended by Trump's insistence on using foul language in purly gender based attacks,

Trump is facing a forty million dollar fraud charge in New York State and still the bigots and racists who have beaten innocent people at his loyalty rallies complain these are all fictions.

The problem with Trump supporters?

They when angry when they find out most Americans aren't as stupid as themselves.

20% of Trump voters in South Carolina think the abolition of slavery was a bad idea. I'm going to stick my neck out here and claim these people are racists.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

They when angry when they find out most Americans aren't as stupid as themselves.

Voting for 7 years of economic failure isn't stupid?

Trump has successfully alienated Jewish voters when he refused to catagorically condemn David Duke. Trump refused three times on live television.

His son in law is Jewish, Trump is NOT that stupid.

Black voters know that association defines Trump.

And yet, a lot of Black people are coming to him, more and more. because they see how they are being screwed by illegal immigration and the Democratic party that has left them dependent on the government for over 50 years.

Mexican Americans have a worst impression as Trump called their countrymen rapists.

Women have long since been offended by Trump's insistence on using foul language in curly gender based attacks,

Trump does have a problem with women, there is no doubt about that, but most Mexican Americans have a complete different view of having an open border and illegal immigration than illegals cursing, burning the American flag, flying the Mexican flag and wanting open borders. By the way, when was Trump cursing up a storm recently?

Trump is facing a forty million dollar fraud charge in New York State and still the bigots and racists who have beaten innocent people at his loyalty rallies complain these are all fictions.

Hmmmm, so far, almost EVERY video that has shown violence and beatings were from the ANTI-Trump crowd. Last week in California, they beat a guy, punched him out and destroyed a police car. Peaceful?

The problem with Trump supporters?

Violence is not one of them.

They when angry when they find out most Americans aren't as stupid as themselves.

Judging by the map, I think they have nothing to worry about. Trump will win Indiana and Cruz will ultimately concede. It's pretty much a done deal.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

Trump supporters have complained accusations of racism or bigotry are false. Many more in the States are not as confused on the issue.

A group of high-profile Christian leaders has published a lengthy statement passionately condemning Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump, calling his campaign message “contrary to our Christian values” and condemning his bombastic rhetoric as “racist, bigoted, and hateful.”

source: Major Faith Leaders Declare Trump ‘Racist, Bigoted, and Hateful’ Apr 29, 2016

While they ask for "proof" and ignore all facts, the un-electable Donald J. Trump has offended too many for far too long to succeed in making America hate again.

The Trump supporters are right, the hateful left got caught in their own web of lies and can't even prove or show for that matter consistent violence of Trump supporters because you ALMOST can't find any. Now research or google ANTI-Trump violence, you will have a long litany list of it.

While they ask for "proof" and ignore all facts, the un-electable Donald J. Trump has offended too many for far too long to succeed in making America hate again.

And yet, No one has been able to come up with ANY concrete proof any racism on Trump's part.

What is it with the KKK and Republican candidates? Funny that.

Probably because the left constantly runs on the only card that they know if they keep perpetuating the myth, making the people are perhaps THAT dumb enough to believe it.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

The problem for Cruz is that the better we know him and the more we see of him, the less we like him. I mean the guy is just an unlikable chap with no charisma whatsoever.

I think in his case less (airtime) would have been more (votes) but you just can't win when you're simply too weird and creepy. No one with a healthy mind would want to spend 5min with him let alone 4 years.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

@Bass

Ah, only clever people can see that the Democrats are the real racists. Do you regard minorities who overwhelmingly vote Democrat as less than intelligent? I certainly don't.

Also, that doesn't explain why 20% of Trump voters in South Carolina think the abolition of slavery was a bad idea.

Also, can you explain why you thought Trump's voters were a lunatic fringe before your conversion? I know you said you misjudged them but there must have been something which led you to the belief they were a lunatic fringe in the first place. What was it? Was it a belief they were racist?

4 ( +6 / -2 )

MarkG,

Lots of hate, lies and exaggerations from the left.

Clearly you haven't been paying much attention to the "right" you claim to be a member of.

Conservatives hate Cruz and have for a very, very long time. There is more than enough to vitriol and hate coming from the right about Cruz to last a full election cycle, without Democrats having to utter a peep. And they haven't. I defy you to provide one verifiable quote from a democratic politician during the current election cycle that rips into him more harshly than members of his own party have and still currently do.

"Lucifer in the flesh . . . I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life,” - John Boehner, April 27, 2016

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Not a lot of substance in this thread is there?

There is quite a bit of back and forth about who Trump is and what people think about Cruz. You know what I have not seen are Trump's tax records, or Cruz' for that matter. And I don't think anyone has settled the question of whether Cruz is eligible to run for president, given his Canadian citizenship. I mean, McCain's run required a bit of INTERPRETATION of his eligibility. I wonder how far we have to stretch things to fit Cruz into the White House. We might have the Supreme Court involved in this if Cruz were to win somehow.

It would be a shame to go through all of this and find that the press and the party have not properly vetted these two of the 18 or so candidates, but it would not surprise me. Does anybody even care about that? Is the press doing its job here?

And something that has been reported that I have not seen here is that NONE of the GOP candidates has agreed to support a candidate chosen by the convention. Trump has reneged on his promise. Cruz reneged yesterday. I think Kasich has also. So... this is weird. The convention and the delegate race are already a sham apparently. The only thing any candidate will gain is some kind of "crown of legitimacy," but all other contenders will cut and run. I think America already has a de facto three way race. And if Bernie decides to make it four, he might just do that.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

From a different article.

Trump will hold two rallies the day ahead of the primary, in Carmel and South Bend.

Get ready to see hatred and violence by the lefties on youtube.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

The rabid Trump-haters here are hilarious. Do you even actually believe the malarkey you write about Trump? If so, I feel sorry for you. And on the Democrat side, it's no better. On one hand there's Sanders who is as economically illiterate as can possibly be(every economist has dismissed Sanders' notions as ludicrous) and Hillary who has perjured herself so many times that it boggles the mind as to why she's not already in a Federal Penitentiary.

Vote NOBODY for President 2016.Lead yourself!

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

MarkG: I don't believe even 10% are racist. I can't say that about the left.

Well that's natural. The GOP is 89% white and the Democrats pretty much have every minority. It should follow that the nearly pure race party would be less racist. Or something like that.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

"Trump's best friend David Duke, Holocaust Denier. That's substantiation enough for millions of Jewish voters in the States."

That's a lie kcjapan. A big, malicious lie. You're a coward and a liar.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

Here, here, samwatters. kcjapan is delusional, a liar or off his meds. He is a typical liberal; when they cannot substantiate a position, they just make things up and throw out the code words like racist, misogynist, anit-semite, yada yada yada and we are supposed to quiver in fear of being labelled one of the aforementioned...

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

As Bass pointed out, the KKK tend to endorse Republicans, but why did Duke endorse Trump who according to many Republicans isn't a Republican? Also, why do the people who think the abolition of slavery was a a bad idea gravitate towards Trump? I think the reason I can't get answers to these questions is the good posters of JT are not racists and it's difficult to see things from a racist perspective.

Does anybody know any racists who could help shed light on this baffling phenomenon?

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Jizmo, could you post a link to the article about the "20%"

Well, my fathers a racist. What do you wanna know?

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

"can you substantiate the billionaire bigot claim"

"Buy a television."

As seen on TV! lol

"Sanders showed no signs of letting up on Clinton, pointing to differences with the former secretary of state over fundraising, Goldman Sachs speeches, the Iraq war, fracking and the minimum wage. Polls show a close vote is likely."

What! The vote between the long-established, experience up the wazoo woman candidate and the crazy old white-haired socialist is likely to be close? What gives, Hillary?

0 ( +2 / -2 )

I, for one, will be glad to see the good people of Indiana send Creepy Cruz off to the rubbish bin. I know more than a few previously registered Democrats and Independents switch to Republican in order to vote for Trump. Not one of the numerous candidates has my vote. But, I WOULD vote Hillary for Prison 2016!

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

the Democrats pretty much have every minority.

And illegals as well, if not, they wouldn't be adamant about issuing IDs to all voters

It should follow that the nearly pure race party would be less racist. Or something like that.

For the life of me, I really don't understand the so called party of racial harmony, use the racial card and are THE most racist group that will embrace everyone, except a White Conservative or a White Conservative Christian....very interesting.

Ah, only clever people can see that the Democrats are the real racists. Do you regard minorities who overwhelmingly vote Democrat as less than intelligent? I certainly don't.

But liberals, libertarians and conservatives that would vote for Trump would equate to being less intelligent, would that be far to assume?

Also, that doesn't explain why 20% of Trump voters in South Carolina think the abolition of slavery was a bad idea.

How about the Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe (one of Clinton's best friends) releasing and restoring voting rights to 200,000 felons. Why now? Why all of a sudden? The timing is so.....right, politically.

Also, can you explain why you thought Trump's voters were a lunatic fringe before your conversion? I know you said you misjudged them but there must have been something which led you to the belief they were a lunatic fringe in the first place. What was it? Was it a belief they were racist?

I believe people can change. As for Cruz, I don't think with all the dealing and wheeling he does won't change the outcome for him and he's making a bigger fool of himself he his thinks having Fiorina by his side, he can somehow change the outcome and sway the voters over the next 2 months.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

How about the Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe (one of Clinton's best friends) releasing and restoring voting rights to 200,000 felons. ... I believe people can change.

Heh, thanks for that, Bass!

Anyone who "supports" Trump has no clue what they are supporting. Can anyone here point to a platform or cohesive ideology?

2 ( +3 / -1 )

I just don't see how Cruz thinks people will accept a second place popular vote getter as the nominee in this day and age. And his most recent news hadn't helped. If he doesn't watch it, he will blow his chances for 2020.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Anyone who "supports" Trump has no clue what they are supporting. Can anyone here point to a platform or cohesive ideology?

Now this is funny. You should have realized that politicians lie all the time. Trump's not a politician and and will follow through to the best of his abilities to do what he says. And you put your faith in Hillary? Time to grow up.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

Anyone who "supports" Trump has no clue what they are supporting. Can anyone here point to a platform or cohesive ideology?

So you're saying basically, if you support Hillary, you are supporting 4 more years of the same failed ideology thats hurting the country is not only good for the country, but it makes ideological sense?

I just don't see how Cruz thinks people will accept a second place popular vote getter as the nominee in this day and age. And his most recent news hadn't helped. If he doesn't watch it, he will blow his chances for 2020.

Cruz needs to learn first how to talk to people and NOT talk down to them.

Two comments here have focused on "Not a lot of substance in this thread is there?" (rhetorical) and several claiming "they just make things up and throw out the code words like racist,"

Here's the content and code words of the day. Obviously some posters haven't got the memo yet and the majority "get it" when it comes to Trump's racism. (search Trump racist for more 'proof')

source: Major Faith Leaders Declare Trump ‘Racist, Bigoted, and Hateful’ Apr 29, 2016

source: Donald Trump Poses an Unprecedented Threat to American Democracy

Criticism of Trump, and his racists, is overwhelmingly reported in thousands of articles and news reports. Trump's Party of Hate is judged not here but in the States and no comment can erase the impression of Trump as a liar and bigot.

Attacking a commenter with personality evaluation is fun for school yard antics but the cited sources are from Americans and powerful subsets of Americans who represent the majority of American voters.

The sad angry band of racists hovering around Trump's glow of wealth as justification for their racism is an example of subsets that exist in every society. Racism is sadly based on fear and ignorance and the world has too much of that.

There is no reason to fear these kinds of attacks but to greet them with silence or cower before racism is the cause of the most destructive events in world history. By contrast, thoughtful and supported comments make a healthy dialogue here and in American politics.

Trump has proved incapable of that discipline and his fans are no different.

Adolescent thugs crying their failures are someone else's doing are pathetic and damaging to the States and their standing in the world while fooling no one in the States.

They hate, that's all they have a offer to Americans and Americans won't follow a racist ever again. It costs too much to be that stupid, and that's a fact.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

...follow through to the best of his abilities to do what he says.

...says on which day? His statements either vary with his mood or are not grounded in reality. More importantly, no one can predict what choices a president will have to make, which is why a grasp of his or her ideology is important. Can you describe Trump's? Does he even have one, other than self-preservation?

5 ( +5 / -0 )

They hate, that's all they have a offer to Americans and Americans won't follow a racist ever again. It costs too much to be that stupid, and that's a fact.

No wonder Trump has fans who haven't anything to offer Americans in their home country. Just like Trump. "You will know them by the company they keep." - paraphrase So far, Trump fans have defined him for the world and the majority of American voters.

@kcjapan. Just curious....after Trump wins will you leave for Canada or crawl into your safe space or wet the bed?

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

The paid anti-Trumpers will need to find something else to "riot" against. -I wish them well and may God speed them.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

I'll agree with you Laguna. What is Trumps true stance on policies. He is playing the political game and quite well at that. A Rasmussen poll has him beating Hillary!

I do believe Trump has the nations health in his heart and beeing a businessman who needs to solvent in his investment decisions hopefully he brings that to the White House. Somehow I still think he will not be the nominee though.

When Obama leaves he will have racked up nearly $20 trillion in debt. This is not sustainable. USA needs to "Make America Great Again" and not pander to the liability citizens.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Cruz is a member of the "do-nothing Congress" who, even during the global economic crisis, voted NO time and time again against doing anything at all to help his constituents. Thus he stands no chance whatsoever.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Except: "Adolescent thugs crying their failures are someone else's doing are pathetic" and "Attacking a commenter with personality evaluation is fun for school yard antics" and, most importantly, "no comment can erase the impression of Trump as a liar and bigot."

If Trump is a bigot, what then is the Democratic party that has made millions of Blacks and Latinos dependent on government? That would be racist of the deepest order.

Shallow thinking and fact free analysis epitomizes Donald J. Trump.

What do the Dems offer? What does Cruz offer?

No wonder Trump has fans who haven't anything to offer Americans in their home country.

Obama offered and gave us 19 Trillion in debt and over 45 million people on food stamps, businesses are leaving non-stop, our corporate tax rate is through the roof, people are having more problems paying their premiums, many hospitals don't want to touch Obamacare, foreign policy is a complete joke, the GDP is at a low 0.2% this is what Obama gave us and now Hillary wants to punish us more by giving us 4 more years of the same?!? If that's the best the Dems have to offer, then we are all screwed!

Just like Trump. "You will know them by the company they keep." - paraphrase So far, Trump fans have defined him for the world and the majority of American voters.

Maybe that's why he's so popular-kudos to the man.

They hate, that's all they have a offer to Americans and Americans won't follow a racist ever again. It costs too much to be that stupid, and that's a fact.

So you are telling us, after Obama is gone, we don't have to worry about the people EVER again voting for a racist president?

Good to know.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Well, I was worried that with all the focus on Trump, people wouldn't get to see what a slime ball Cruz is. Looks like they found out:

http://www.gallup.com/opinion/polling-matters/191264/cruz-image-plummets-trump-improves-among-republicans.aspx

Talk about a collapse. He had a 61/15 favorable/unfavorable rating in January, now it's 39/45.

That would be racist of the deepest order.

Your party is 89% white. But please, give us your lecture on racism based on your collective experience.

Is this part of the "loyalty oath" Trump forced his bigots to chant? Clearly it isn't the product of thought. Very Trump-like.

Yet several factors could cause chaos at the polls on Tuesday. The state is only keeping sites open until 6 p.m., which could pose difficulties for people who cannot leave work until 5 p.m. or later. Many other states keep their polls open until at least 8 p.m. And unlike some other states, Indiana has no laws requiring employers to give their workers time off in order to vote. Indiana also has an open primary, in which registered Independents can vote for any candidate they choose, which may lead to even higher turnout and longer lines. Some counties already had lines at the door when the polls opened at 6 a.m.

Yet despite the anticipation of long waits, some counties in Indiana have also followed Arizona’s lead in slashing the number of polling places. In Wells County, which has the highest turnout rate in the state, officials cut the number of available voting sites from 15 to five.

Though most issues are expected at the end of the day, when people try to vote after work, some problems have already popped up. A polling place in South Bend, Indiana was shut down for a little over an hour during the morning rush after police received a call about a suicidal individual nearby.

= The Indiana Republican establishment is making it hard for Trump to steam-roll another win.
