A 13% pay raise over 3 years! Wow! Would be nice but I would also happily take a 9% raise. Are their wages really so low that it would take a 13% increase to catch up with the cost of living? It seems a tad greedy to me....

The conditions of Australian public servants ( customs staff included ) are great..both in terms of salary and benefits...a number of my friends are members of APS so I know well.

Wow seems like they should be lucky to get anything in way of a raise. They could get getting their jobs cut as the world economy is crashing.

“At a time when staff are being told to cop a 3% increase, news about massive increases for agency heads has not gone down well,” said Nadine Flood, from the Customs agents’ Community and Public Sector Union.

How dare the plebes want a piece of the pie.

All you guys seem to be ignoring the fact that they are asked to take a lower raise while their bosses received "massive increases."

    They are asking for justice.
