Overdue?? YES!! Long! Long overdue! This is why I am sick of most of Tarantino's stupid movies, Pulp Fiction etc..VIOLENCE, VIOLENCE and MORE VIOLENCE! Do young minds, or twisted, sick ones get any ideas on how to kill from these movies in the USA??? You bet your sweet puttooties they do!

Given how over the top and ridiculous most of these movies are I'd almost think that they reinforce the idea that violence is NOT an everyday or acceptable thing. Back when I was in school it wasn't uncommon to get into fights on a weekly, sometimes daily basis, in and outside of school. My friends parents kept guns in their cabinets in case anybody broke in and it wasn't unheard of for normal working men to solve their problems by fighting each other. Things are a thousand times better now than they were in the 80's.
Demonizing video games and movies is foolish and counter productive. It also treads dangerously close to dragging freedom of speech down. Right's aren't mutually exclusive and those that uphold one should uphold all others equally. The fact that the NRA is willing to sell the first amendment down the river in order to deflect from arguments over the 2nd are ludicrous.

I think One of the billboards just had a young couple, very pleasant-looking, young, happy looking. And they both had guns.

America is a messed up country because it has too much freedom! Too much freedom to have guns, drugs etc...in the end is not real freedom.
